If CMC leaves and Aranda miraculously doesn't go to LSU, I wouldn't be opposed to ISU going after him.

He isn't leaving Baylor for ISU
He coaches a caliber of athlete at Baylor he would never ever see in Ames.

It'll be interesting what happens to Baylor. The Tech guy who came on here and posted for a little bit alluded to the fact that Tech's new coach had a great deal with Baylor's success under Rhule and Aranda. If I can recall from those posts, McGuire is well respected in the Texas High School ranks and thus, a reason for their recruiting and success.
They may want him, but does Campbell want LSU? The media still considers ISU as a stepping stone type of job and one where coaches will want to leave ASAP.

Also it has been said above, but Football Scoop is hearing similar things and those guys are usually spot on and in the know way before any national media.
Not sure. If Campbell has ever really considered leaving I think this would be the year to do it with what he has coming back roster wise. Eventually the shine could wear off and not be the "hot" name anymore. Campbell though could be perfectly fine with that and be more than happy to stay at ISU. Don't know...

When I think of a job Campbell would leave ISU for, I look for 1) a low-drama AD/athletic department, 2) a relatively sane and highly supportive fan base, and 3) "cultural fit" which I admit is really subjective and heavily influenced by #s 1 and 2. Or the NFL, which is probably more dependent on geography and the ownership.
If he goes to LSU, it really upends everything we thought we knew about him.

Don't like this at all, I'll hope the people you have ins with are just janitors within the athletic department and not people who talk to Matt on a daily basis.
