First IB, then Gabe, and now Caleb. We have a real team on our hands with guys taking turns stepping up.
So happy for TJ and staff, and of course, Caleb "Always wanted to be Cyclone" Grill.
Roster management so far has been very good from what I've seen.

The right players are on the floor and do what they need to do.

Gabe scores 30 against Memphis, but TJ recognizes the hot hand and left Grill in for a lot of the 2nd half. And a shot of the bench made it apparent Kalscher didn't mind at all.

The team has bought in. A testament to TJ and the coaching staff.

6 conference games are going to be against top 10 teams in Texas, Baylor and KU. Middle of the Big 12 is tough too.

We need to get better on O to make a tournament run
I expect 7 teams at least to make the tournament from the Big 12. If we can manage 20-11 8-10 we are in. I’d love to be better and more consistent offensively but I feel like people are overestimating the requirements to make the tournament.

Since his Dad Terry coached at Missouri State (Springfield, MO), near where we live, they lived in Nixa, MO, a suburb. Chase was very good in BB and of course FB for Nixa High School.
Nixa's Chase Allen headed to national basketball showcase (news-leader.com)

That article says that Chase also played on a team with Trae Young. Very interesting! Seems like Chase would be able to hold his own if there is mutual interest!

Just saw were were +1 in Jones' 7 minutes. Isn't that really the most important stat for your backup center?
People also need to realize Jones’ role is as hard as it gets. Playing spot minutes to spell foul trouble or fatigue is really hard. Very hard to get in the flow of the game. Given that role he’s embraced it and done a nice job. Those types of glue guys are important. I also remember TJ talking about getting Jones and raising the effort and intensity in practice. I think what TJ loves about Jones, Jackson and Grill is these are great “culture” guys off the bench, in the locker room and at practice. I am so glad Tre stuck around. He’s been the great example where people focus too much on what a guy can’t do rather than see the value he can provide.

Jones fouled out and Conditt played with 4 fouls for the last 7 or 8 minutes of last night's game. If Conditt fouls out, we have only Kunc and Enaruna (small forwards) as the only remaining players over 6'5". ISU is going to face this situation a lot in our remaining games. Iowa, KU, Texas and Baylor are going to pound the ball inside against Conditt. I am thinking TJ knows this and will be looking for more options on the bench for the 2nd half of the season.

Missed end of first half and early second, so I'm watching replay. Didn't realize -- Gabe, Hunter and Brockington only 4 points combined in first half (and goose eggs in first 18 minutes. Yet - tied at half. Wow!

Also what a final 90 seconds of half - what a way to close. (Just starting second half now - we were up eight when I returned live last nite so this segment will be fun to see, too.

Oh god I’d love to see Bobo or the McCaffrey idiots try to square up Brockington
You can bet they will be at their bes and playing dirty ball. They are good at grabbing, holding and shoving, and getting away with it

Was thinking the bad Prohm teams would have pissed that game away in the final 2 mins with the way it was going.

Will Jordan Bohokan leave another pair of shoes?
Imagine doing that to a 20 loss team.
He reminds me of this guy.

Since when is having 6 tough conference games a story? There are always tough outs in the conference.......including us this year. Everyone is shaking in the boots over Iowa.........I don't get it. Like I have said before........why are people waiting for the shoe to drop just to say "I told you so"? Give TJ and the guys a little more credit than that. That is what was done to Prohm his first 2 years. Nothing was ever good enough. This team is already making a tourney run. They have 8 wins right now. You don't think between what non cons are left, the 18 game conference slate and the conference tourney this group can't find 12 more? Not every game is going to be against KU, Texas and Baylor. And I have seen KU play this year and I'm not so sure the guys can't sweep them. This team IS going to the tourney!
