I know little about wrestling, but I’ve seen the Hawk coaching staff talk at various events, and they seem more like they’re cutting a WWE promo everywhere they go instead of coaching a school wrestling program
So outside of HWT, stall calls were even. I was thinking they had one more going into it.
I get chirping, taunting, etc. A lot of dislike between the staffs etc. but running to the others teams bench as the meet is ending is just bush league BS and inexcusable. It is not a homer take, it’s calling a spade a spade.
Son told me he thought DeSantos ran over there also. Could t remember if him or Terry went first. Whoever went first needs to be gone. If DeSantos, he’s had incident after incident after incident and it’s time to be dealt with. If Terry, no coach should ever go to fight college players and should be escorted out the door as a coach.
ISU coaches were yapping also. Unsure if every other word was an F bomb (Iowa coaches let us know since they were next to The announcers mic) but ISU coaches were yapping. The running across is another level though, totally unacceptable.
Iowa wrestling and it’s fans tonight are the most disgusting human trash I have ever seen. Terry was running around starting **** from the 125 match on. Dude is a freaking psychopath and the fans ate it up.
They worked the refs all night like they usually do and were all over our side of the mat. None of our coaches acted like a third grader throwing a tantrum. Man I left Hilton pissed off.

less than six weeks. Cross country annually pulls in four points in the CyHawk series and has for at least an entire decade.
Brands could stand in the middle of 5th avenue and shoot someone and Hawk fans will still defend him
I was right by the action. Brands instigated the whole thing. Iowa's wrestlers acted fine actually but Brands was trying to start a fight. I'm embarrassed for him
Also heard the NCAA Wrestling officials are well aware of the situation and not happy with Brands to say the least. I expect some type of suspension coming
Makes me wonder if Terry Brands had a strategy to try to build a case against having to wrestle Iowa State in the future. His antics after the meet may have been premeditated and intended to justify an anti-Cyclone posture.
You can see in that one picture that the officials were talking to Pollard and JP was trying to understand what they wanted. Guessing they were wanting stuff from the video since you can see the replay person with an image of brands racing across on their screen.
When the officials request to have the AD meet with them, something is going to happen.
Hok fans are supportive of head coaches with disgusting behavior (at least in major men's sports)...
