I liked the twist and i liked DeShawn throwing the challenge to get it. He went against math but it worked for him.

I didn't mind the vote out, still plenty of time to vote out ricard.

Not voting out Ricard was smart. You can get him next week or the week after. It’s now 4-2. So voting him out next week is fine. I still like where Xander has positioned himself. He gave up the extra vote tonight but still has the idol

I thought using the extra vote was dumb actually. The best he could do was tie it up, which would have led to a revote where he couldn't use the extra vote and Ricard would have went home.

He might win if he drags along Heather and Erica but I think Erica has made more moves so the jury may side with her. I mean seriously the guy was bragging about being on the right side of a vote for once this far into the game, and it was a vote he really didn't have much involvement in planning.

Heather is safe from here on out as far as I'd be concerned, she has less than zero percent chance of winning.

As of right now, the standings IMO are:

1) Ricard
2) Deshawn
3) Danny
4) Erica
5)Xander
6) Some surprise reentry to the game
7) Jeff Probst
8) Me
9)Heather

You could be right. Deshawn and Danny are in bad shape right now with no numbers. So I don't think your ratings are correct.

BTW Jeff Probst constantly virtue signaling every single episode is making us not want to watch. That along with the exact same type of challenges every single game. I am ready for a new host. Used to love Jeff as the host and thought he was top notch. Now he acts like the game of survivor is shaping the worlds racial and social justice. Like bro it's a game show. Get over yourself. TJ Lavin has passed him as being a great host and I used to no treally like Lavin. Lavin is now money hosting the Challenge. Which I think is now a better show.

I don't think that four person alliance survives past this week. I also don't think both Danny and Deshawn will get to the final three but I think one of them has a good shot. That's just how I think the jury voting would go if they voted right now. Notice that I thought the jury would vote Probst and me as winners of this season before Heather, in case my poor attempt at humor confused people.

IF they get rid of Heather they are officially the worst players ever. She can't beat anyone in the final. Unless someone just seriously pisses the jury off like Russell Hantz did and they just vote out of spite for the older nice lady.

Not shocked, Liana was going to go soon regardless and the quicker you rid someone with a chip on their shoulder the better IMO. She has always been way too emotional so know it was just a matter of time. I do think Xander has quietly played a good game especially socially I think he's kept the emotions out of it and just calculated when the right times have been to work with people while being a huge target himself. If he gets Ricard out next vote then I think he wins. I don't think DeShawn has the jury, time and time again multiple players have contemplated blindsiding him including his own alliance because they can't trust him. Danny will have to play a very good game from here on out too I think if he wants to win. These votes can cost you jury votes and not sure Danny and DeShawn will be viewed as the masterminds behind some of the big mjves lately. To me it's Ricard, Xander, and Erica top 3 most likely to win right now. If Heather is not taken to the end it will go down as possibly the dumbest cast ever as they have been all over the place already as it is.

And I agree with those who are tired of them making this about social issues more than the game at times. I watch to be entertained, I hear enough about that stuff in the news and life in general I don't need some reality TV contestants acting like this game is a world changer too.

Not trying to downplay anything or create a stir with this post when it comes to racial issues but I am getting a little sick of the amount of time they are spending going on about the "diversity" of this season's cast and Deshawn's recent obsession/struggle with the black contestants getting voted out recently. None of them have been voted out because of their skin color or sex, they have been voted out because their gameplay was a threat to those remaining who are trying to make it to the end too. Then him and Erica talk about how it's been awhile since a black person or female has won. I disagree, season 36 Wendell won who probably is one of the more popular players to have ever played and in season 34 our own Iowan Sarah Lacina won so I would consider that fairly recent. Then you go back and look through the final 3 of recent seasons and you had a woman and of color in Natalie in the final 3 who was runner up to Tony along with Michele in season 40. Season 39 Noura was in the final 3, Season 38 had Julie in the final 3, season 37 Angelina, season 36 Laurel who is both female and black. You can go back through the last 10 seasons and find all kinds of diversity that made it to the final 3.

I think Deshawn probably blew up his game last night with his "truth bomb" at tribal too. He could have worked with Erica to make a big move next on Xander or Ricard but now he's broken all trust he had and probably is the next target if he doesn't win immunity or find an idol. A little surprised they did not change their vote to him after finding that Danny did not have an idol. Also not sure where he was getting at with trying to plant the seed about Erica needing to vote out Heather because it's exactly what he needs to win is a final 3 with those 2 who haven't really played that great of a game so far. If Ricard or Xander doesn't wind up winning this thing I will be surprised because they seem to be the only 2 playing smart games and the rest just keep stepping on their own feet and getting voted out. Shan was too bossy and had advantages, Liana was just too unpredictable and emotional so Deshawn shouldn't need to apologize and feel bad about voting them out because they already had been talking about doing the same to him. He should have just owned up to his votes and said it was nothing personal, I just needed to make those moves else it could have been me going home instead and left it at that.

Don't disagree. Probst sometimes tries too hard to make this more than a reality TV competition and some beacon of societal change, when all most viewers want is a reality TV competition.

Agree about Deshawn, but honestly I think he had to. He knows he's gone unless he wins immunity every time from here on out.

Ricard and Xander are solid players, but there's something I just don't like about both of them. Don't hate them by any means, but there's something about each of them that rubs me the wrong way, don't even really know what it is.

Heather is complete milquetoast.

EVERYONE could beat Heather, but I'm not all that sure Deshawn could beat Erica. Don't get me wrong - I don't like her one bit. She's vindictive and holds grudges like no other, but she had made some pretty big moves in the game, beginning with the "flip the previous day's results" move. DeShawn has been more of a follower who can't be trusted with secrets, or with voting decisions.

The thing that sucks is we don't like certain people and I always assume they are scum in real life, when in fact even the bad guys on these type of games are generally good people just playing the game the best they can. Except Russell. Pretty sure Russell is a huge idiot in real life also. Big Brother is a little different. We get to see more of those people. Survivor though can pretty much make half the people Villans, even when they are not and might not even be that way during the game.

Yeah I don't think most of the people on survivor are bad people in real life but there have been a few I am pretty sure are like Russell. Two more recent names that come to mind are Colton and Dan. We all know now what a creep Dan was even off camera apparently and Colton just came off like a spoiled and entitled brat. You can probably put Richard Hatch in this group of scume too. Russell's nephew Brandon had some demons too:

Hope KCCI has a replay late night. No way they are going to give up this prime time exposure.
