Let’s pretend OuT do stay for 3 more seasons (unlikely IMO), What happens to conf television payouts through 2025?

They will to get what’s owed.

The entertainment is that OuT fans are sure the Big 12 will fold and settle.

Why the **** would we settle? There’s more value for the new conference to have everyone play OuT for several years. Particularly these versions of OuT. Best case scenario is 3 or 4 years of OuT being in the new Big 12 but not winning

Wonder if this is a cop out and OuT are wanting to see if they can fix themselves in the big XII before going SEC?
On the flip side, they both should want to go ASAP and hide behind the SEC brand. A couple more seasons like this one and the the perception really improves for the Big 12 4.0, and goes down for OuT and the SEC.

Best case scenario for the Big 12 is the new teams join, OuT continue to falter, only to go to the SEC and have immediate success. Continue to have UT lose to ******* KU

People forget how well Missouri and A&M did initially in the SEC. Not really a drop off from what they were in the Big 12.

I don't think there is a great way to do this so maybe not naming the divisions geographically would be best.

Division A
Division B

Just not legends and leaders..lol

I know it cheapens it a bit, but they can call it the Google and Microsoft Divisions for all I care.
Get a couple million extra per school.

I just don't like divisions that say North and it has UCF in it. Or west and West Virginia is in it, etc.
I'm still pushing for 16 teams, pods replacing divisions, and NFL scheduling.

And speaking of 16 teams:

Memphis is an easy yes for me. Football is usually good and basketball is normally quality.
Boise State isn't what they used to be but I suppose I'll take them too. Neither program is bad, just not great.
San Diego State I'd be thrilled over if they weren't so far away. For that reason I say no
USF is a no for me. Their football is terrible and their basketball has one tournament appearance since 2000.

So yeah, bring Memphis and Boise State in the year Texas and Oklahoma leave. After that add whoever the best and most consistent G5 programs are that make some geographical sense(so not UConn or anyone too far west). A few years ago I'd say add SMU for sure but their programs have both fallen back quite a bit.

I think this would be disastrous for our TV revenue.

Also, is something happening with the Pac 12's contracts soon? Seen twitter buzz on it but can't find anything official? Still like the idea of scooping up Arizona and Arizona State if they want to come

Or we wait a few years and see if the ACC's top programs are poached so we can merge or poach their middle tier.

Yes. Waiting is prudent. Those G5 schools are not going anywhere.

Let the fact the ACC without an elite Clemson is dead and the fact that the Pac12 died a decade ago lead to their OuT moments. NIL will also have those two conferences losing any programs that can move. Then add the best of the rest.

gotta replace kU and ISU, and possibly OSU/TECH/WV/TCU.

Here's hoping. Never gonna hold my breath but the B1G is still easily the best possible outcome, even though it feels not that likely right now.

Need an expansion of reaction emojis to include prayer hands and the double eyes ones.

Didn't think about the ACC. Pac 12 isn't going anywhere since they're the only game in town on the west coast.

Who would be at the top of our list from the ACC? I'd assume the high priorities would be a UNC/Duke package, VT/UVA, Clemson, Florida State, and Miami. 2nd tier would be like Louisville, Pitt, and Syracuse. Not sure what Notre Dame's legal situation is either so I'll leave them alone for now.

It will depend on TV money.

They may be the only game in town, but if they get paid commensurate with their ratings, while also falling further behind on the field/court, there will be change imo.

Presumably Clemson/FSU or UNC/UVA/Duke would be the ones being raided by the B1G or SEC. I'm assuming WVU would push for Pitt to join the B12, and Louisville is the best geographical fit. Miami would make a good partner for UCF.
