Wow, not once in my 3.5 years at Iowa State did they ever close the school due to weather. They always said as long as CyRide was able to run, there would be classes. Since I graduated in 2018, seems like they've canceled like 5 different times for non-covid related reasons.

Good to know. But there are people posting on FB about how dumb it is to let kids out for "a little wind."

Vast majority of people who post their opinions on Facebook are morons. So, there ya go. Wonder what they would say on Facebook if a couple of school busses blew over from a 70 mile an hour gust and killed a few kids. I bet they would really voice their opinions.

FB is largely a massive sewer. Real classy people spend their time on CF.

CR is in yellow. Any predictions for us? Take cover? Kai O'Mara made it seem like the world was ending today.

I thought Kaj did a great job with his messaging this morning. Outlined the risks and expected conditions well without being overly doom and gloom. I can't remember which met last night tweeted it but there is really nothing to compare this to so it's hard to know what exactly to expect.

Meteorologists not knowing what’s going to happen….. shocking! I kid, calm down.

This is it. I've driven through Kansas and Oklahoma enough and seen what happens to high profile vehicles in winds like this. If I was a driver going East/West through Iowa or Nebby on I80 this afternoon I would pull over and wait until later tonight.
