What is the timing for central IA that we are likely clear of the severe stuff?

I just received an email from a student I was to meet with at noon. She said this exact thing!

Wow, not once in my 3.5 years at Iowa State did they ever close the school due to weather. They always said as long as CyRide was able to run, there would be classes. Since I graduated in 2018, seems like they've canceled like 5 different times for non-covid related reasons.

The climate at ISU has changed since you've been here.

Just got done calling a bunch of places in search of a generator. They were sold out everywhere.....except the Ames Lowes. I snagged one. Customer service said they still have 40 in stock. Just an FYI for anyone interested.

Cedar Rapids folks just got included into a slightly higher risk category.

Just stocked up on some emergency supplies encase we lose power. Ive filled up some old milk jugs with water and set them in the deep freeze to be giant ice packs.
