We’ve been in the basement just because, but honestly just seems like a normal bad thunderstorm in Ames.
And thank goodness for that.
I think the main thing for the DSM metro will be the sustained winds. Sounds like the wind could sustain for quite a while. Hoping my trees make it!!
Storm line has definitely weakened. Less tornadoes and heavy rain and such. Wind speeds are still nutter butters, though. Saw they said a while ago that parts of the storm are moving over land >100 MPH now. Just nonsense.
Tornado south of Algona. Stay safe because it’s getting a little far north for DM channels to cover well.
