If Purdy wants to play CFB one more year and he has any NFL aspirations, he should hit the transfer portal for his final year of eligibility. Look for a school that has a good QB coach. He has decent physical skills, but he needs help with the mental aspect of the game.

My only comment on the game is about the last play. It was the epitome of the entire season. When the offense makes mistake after mistake we don’t win. And to see a great scramble for a first be nullified by another mistake to end the season…it just fits.

That’s a pretty strong position…no OC can improve the lack of 2 minute offense? No OC can have our offense ready to play against TTU and WVU? No OC can figure out a way to put points on the board against the toe? Sorry man, no way Manning is the right guy going forward.

The players need to execute the plays…I mean if you can’t tell that plays were missed by the players I don’t know what to tell you. Many times tonight they were in good positions to make game altering plays and didn’t execute. Not singling out a position group, it was across the whole offense. And before you try to say that’s the OC and OCs job alone to make sure they don’t drop passes, miss throws, miss blocking assignments, miss holes in the run game, save it. It’s not. His job is to put them in the best position to succeed and while he obviously wasnt perfect, he put them in good positions a lot and the players didn’t execute.

I don't blame Purdy at all for this loss. The conservative play calling is to blame. For years now, Manning refuses to open the playbook until the team is down big. Play aggressively all game and you won't be relying on late game do or die drives.

Manning cannot come back as OC next year. I don't care if he coaches a position, but he cannot be the one calling plays. To

Well too many mistakes, but not a lack of effort from the team. On to BB then get ready for FB next fall.

I keep coming back to this but losing 1 score game short handed against Clemson wouldn’t sting as much if we hadn’t lost to teams like WVU and TT.

And the meltdown in the 3rd quarter didn't look like the meltdown vs. Iowa and the losses to Baylor and Oklahoma didn't involve some similar weirdness too.

Not saying this team should have been undefeated...just that tonight was who they are.

I predicted iirc after the UNI game that there would be weirdness similar to the 2005 season, but I think it actually was weirder.

Seneca Wallace was great, but I went back and watched some older games earlier this year.

I think there's a little bit of nostalgia that plays into this take, but Seneca had some insane plays that really stick out from his career that we all remember.

As a 4 year starter, Brock has been to 4 straight bowl games, a Big 12 championship appearance, and won the Fiesta bowl. You could argue that his teams overall have been better, but he delivered every year.

You wonder how people would feel about Brock if he thru 18 INT his senior year and lost to UConn at home. Very selective memories and a ton of nostalgia.

Honestly the game turned out better than I thought it would given all the injuries, transfers, and sit outs we had. Would’ve loved to not have the turnover on downs at the end, but that’s the way it goes.

I saw us run for nothing on a 3rd and ten we needed to try and get (no confidence?) and Clemson drop back to throw on a 3rd down they definitely should have run on. I clearly don't know much but I'd tend to agree, for the zilch that's worth...

On the other hand, I won my bets, cause, well, ISU fan...

With all the goofiness it probably was fitting how we lost. Still better than playing in the independence bowl against a MAC team.

Purdy was what 16 or 17-1 at home in Big 12 conference games for his career?
He was a terrific college QB that occasionally made mistakes some big mistakes, he’s human. Without a doubt Brock Purdy is the best QB we’ve ever had! Will he be the best pro probably not.
