I find myself not really even caring about these 'big' bowl games. Just watching Saban after they won to get the title game again he was just so 'ho hum...been here done that'. It's like he's not even excited.

Can we now shut the **** up about group of 5 teams with sub par resumes making the playoffs?

2015:
Alabama 38
Michigan State 0

2016:
Alabama 24
Washington 7

2017:
Alabama 24
Clemson 6

2020:
Alabama 31
Notre Dame 14

2020:
Alabama 52
Ohio State 24

Your point holds no water when Alabama basically curbstomps every team the play.

OSU, Baylor, and tOSU all would have
A better game, i agree. Win? No. I think there would have been some notion for awhile that an upset could happen, particularly with Ohio St.

This isn't the regular season. Opponents will get Bama's best. I think Ohio St wasn't deserving, but imo would have the best chance out of anyone not invited to upset Bama. It is upside vs upside in these games.

Getting stomped by Bama in the CFP isn't a G5 thing. It is a not elite talent thing. Most of the P5's don't have what it takes either.

45-34 over OU in 2018 but it was basically just a mess for OU the whole time.

Then the 63-28 pasting from LSU in 2019 doesn't bode well for the B12.

Agree, blueblood programs get thoroughly beat by bama. It is not a cincy in G5 thing

But a couple of those did at least keep the notion that there could be an upset that night for longer into the game. Clemson, ND, and UW imo. Although that is subjective and also influenced by bias

So my rooting options are a sec rematch or sanctimonious Michigan fans. I'll root for Michigan because I hate the sec, but I don't know if I can stomach Steve deace after his team wins a title. So Georgia either needs to lose or win by 50.
