With the way Freyler was playing down the stretch and how he played in bowl game, I doubt that happens..
I think it's been said but the bowl seemed to cement why the transfer happened.

Not buying it. Isheem probably won the OU game, how many fumbles did he cause, how many fumbles did he recover, how many big plays did he make. Isheem did not transfer because he was going to lose his starting position. SMH And thats no disrespect to Freyler.I think it's been said but the bowl seemed to cement why the transfer happened.
I went to Norman, we lost that game. Not buying it. Isheem probably won the OU game, how many fumbles did he cause, how many fumbles did he recover, how many big plays did he make. Isheem did not transfer because he was going to lose his starting position. SMH And thats no disrespect to Freyler.
So because he made a big pick over 20 games ago, you think that means he wasn’t maybe unsure about the future? He’s been losing snaps to Freyler to the point that Freyler was an HM all conference player, McDonald was locked in as a starter late in the year, and AJ is supposedly come back for a move to safety. He would’ve certainly played, but starting was not the certainty you seem to think it was. Bottom line is he was a big time hitter, while McDonald and Freyler were the two best open field tacklers on the team. Not buying it. We shall see where he ends up. I will be validated! So because he made a big pick over 20 games ago, you think that means he wasn’t maybe unsure about the future? One thing I don't see too often discussed is concussion protocol. I recall a play where Isheem hit the guy on the tackle, but got up very wobbly. He insisted on staying in the game, but the coaches got him out. I wonder if his health was in play over his snaps. It was the second such protocol event for Isheem ... that I know of.So because he made a big pick over 20 games ago, you think that means he wasn’t maybe unsure about the future? If you’re talking the year before, that is basically irrelevant. The new guys weren't here and things can change over a year.Wrong game.

His pass coverage deteriorated. He focused so hard on the run this year that he was letting passes get behind him. As a safety, your main rule is nothing behind you, he forgot that several times this year.Young seemed to plateau if not regress and Freyler expanded.
Loved the energy of Young and his ability to strike at the point of contact like that but watching him run up on ghosts or have the runner bounce off for 3 more yards had to drive the staff batty.

Isheem Young was a serious liability this year in coverage.
Watching the games over, you can see that he doesn't know the difference between our coverage schemes and is out of position on every play.
The reason for Eisworth's "regression" was he has to play two positions every snap.
Isheem Young is going to go to a blue blood and that team will realize in a couple of practices that they made a huge mistake in bringing him in.

It will be a huge mistakeSo you are saying a team is going to regret bringing in an All Conference defensive back? Yeah I don't think they will make a "Huge" mistake. He might not play a ton but that would not be a mistake to give him a chance.
