If you are within 10 points at KU you are the better team. If you lose by 1 you were clearly better.
Tough loss. This though. No excuses. Two very close calls at the end. the 2-3 pointer and the called blocked shot. Could have been a goaltend (edit, was a goaltend as it hit the glass first). [Could have been a great block. It was right at the peak. Argument for it still going up. Argument for it coming down.[Moot point] I guess they should have reviewed that to be sure. But hey, it's at Kansas right.

Need to get them back at Hilton and I think we will. Would have been real nice for Gabe to have made that last second 3 attempt!
Edit: corrected

that was not a close call. In college once it hits glass it’s a goaltend. That hit glass.

The goaltend had nothing to do with going up or down. It hit the backboard first you numbnuts.

NOPE, plainly hit the board, doesn't matter what direction it is going after that.

I'm more upset with the way that the rule is written, because it's written really dumb. Not shocked that it went that way on the foul call because of the stupid way the rule is written, sadly.
They should go back at the next stoppage of play and review it. If deemed a goal tend then add the points like they do with 3 pointers. That was not a judgment call goal tend where it’s debatable if the ball was on the way down or in the cylinder. If you touch the ball after it hits the backboard it is automatic and the basket counts.

Add that to the totally botched flagrant foul call and we can add this to the list of thefts in Allen Fieldhouse. Jamie needs to buy a frame for the apology letter from the Big 12 office.

It was a 2. It was a goaltend, there’s no arguing. I have a staunch record of officiating rarely changes outcomes posts. Officiating dictated this outcome.
