O/U on settling for jump shots tonight?

I get it, I really do, but as long as those jump shots go in I dont care where they take it. This team has a pretty simple formula, when they shots go in, they can beat anyone. When the shots don't they can lose to anyone.

I know that is cliche in college basketball so forgive me, but it is absolutely true for Iowa State this year. I just appreciate the excitement of knowing that before the tipoff Iowa State has a 50/50 chance of winning.

For some reason I’ve got optimism brewing.

Iowa State - 63
Oklahoma State - 57

I think that's pretty standard for all teams everywhere.

My point is that I feel they settle too quickly or too much. I get that if the shot is open, you take it, but there's just not enough inside play when you have guys that are the size that they are.

Even with all that, they are still light years ahead of where we expected them to be and we all know how stacked Big 12 MBB is this year. Last year's team was already packing it in, so it's great to see the fight not backing down.

Tyler Harris is shooting 49% from 3 this year for Memphis. One guy from last year's team I wouldn't mind having right now

Harris going from 32% with us to 49% this year and Bolton going from 31% to 44% goes with the theory that good shooters will struggle in poor offenses. I think we've seen some stagnant offense the last few games and that is part of why shots weren't dropping. Once we get back to movement and kick-outs from drives to the lane we'll see a respectable 3pt figure again.

We did it for a 2-3 game stretch vs OU, KU, and Texas. Hopefully we can get back to shooting like we did in those games soon.

As for those guys that left the program, interesting theory. I could see it for Rasir, but Tyler plays for Memphis who plays street ball/hero ball essentially on the offensive end. They do have a lot of athletic guys that can suck the defense in then kick out for 3's though, so without having watched any of Memphis outside of our game vs them, I would have to assume that's what's happening

I'm trying to remain positive but I just don't see it tonight. We don't matchup well with these guys and they already beat Texas and Baylor.
I sadly agree. They aren't great offensively, so I won't be surprised if it's close. I just don't like the prospects of this ISU team beating that OSU team in Stillwater.

Go prove me wrong, Clones!

Fully understand and it is tough to win on the road but ISU has also beat UT and only lost to then #1 Baylor by 5 (plus moral win @ KU). After the TCU game I can see being pessimistic but OSU isn't a team to be feared.
Honestly the TCU game shooting was futile but they did get good looks but missed. Just hit a few of those 3's it is a totally different game. It can't be that bad again, or at least I don't think that can that poor of shooting repeat.
If ISU has some success hitting some good shots we know ISU's defense will show up and a win will follow.

Go State!!! Beat Okie Lt.

Are you sure its better offenses OR more like better supporting cast that brings up the level of play of each player?

The perfect setup for a $50 bill on Okie St ML and just hope to lose it. If we win $50 well spent, if we lose - well at least you have more cash in your pocket as a consolation.

I'm eyeing the total. Anything over 120 seems like waaaaay too many points for these teams
