Wish B Weber well. He will never be confused with Norm Stewart but sometimes his comments to Iowa State fans felt a little condescending, and needling. Could have just been one of his quirks. In the end it was all for entertainment.

Bruce gets his last shots here in postgame. He's a good dude and a great coach with talent. Generous. Quirky. Clean. But couldn't close enough to keep it going. He'll retire a rich man with B12 championship banners hanging in the rafters. Good for him. #emaw

@surly can you give me your rankings of the Big 12 basketball jobs?

I’ll hang up and listen thx.

Fantastic coach. Below average recruiter.

I'd have to think Dana Ford and Mark Turgeon would be towards the top of that list.

I respect the fact that he went out taking valid shots at the NCAA and KU for the continued cheating and bagmen that go unpunished.

He should take a year or two off, enjoy the $$, and then coach at a mid-major level.

That press clip was good stuff. Seems like a good guy.

Today, I'd say look at the standings. If that doesn't do for you, then ...

Ku clearly the best job with a rich albeit filthy winning tradition.
WVU clearly the worst due to travel across this league; Huggs has said as much.
Texas is second with all its resources and location.
Baylor has the Baptist, private school advantage that's proved worthy.
The others, throw 'em in a bag, shake it, and pull out names.

I think he could find a home at a historically struggling major school if they're looking for someone to build a good foundation and achieve some reasonable success. No idea if he is going to want that at this point in his career.

What? TCU isn't a better job than OU, ISU, KState, or WV.

TCU's lucky they have a solid alum coaching them.

Part of the grief recovery is realizing KSU is bottom 3. It makes the lack luster hiring coming to Manhattan easier.

Weber came to K-State after being offered the Charolette job. He could go to a mid-major, I suppose, or perhaps be the next Phil Martelli.

Valpo is going to have an opening in a year. Southern Illinois may come open as well. Those are both great jobs for Weber.

I get that coaching and maintaining professional relationships is in these guys' blood...but why not kick back, travel, golf, boat...do whatever other than work!? I have a lot of respect for Bruce Weber and his career. Hope he enjoys whatever he chooses to do next.
