This reminds me of i think joakim noah launching a three towards the end of a game to try to win fans free taco bell tacos.
Wait until TJ calls a timeout before the last possession of the first half to put in Boothe and run a play for him to get an open shot.

I've got no problem with Carter Boothe, but what are the NIL deals that other, more-deserving players have gotten?
I don't care what the situation is the whole game, you put him in once or twice and set up a play to get him the shot.
No one who actually might score points would be offered this.
Who cares, it's about fun and marketing. This is fun and gets us talking about it, and a nice little spot for Mountain Dew. Win/Win.

I'm guessing Carter is getting some amount of money for this. Are we able to tell future good players that they'll be able to make money off an NIL deal?
I ask because the only thing I've seen this year is a fire up the Grill shirt.
I thought the same...would LOVE a blowout type deal (for many reasons, lol)....but a scenario like a deadball before the half, a few seconds, and a technical where we pick a shooter. Lol
