The reactions I get from people when I tell them I don’t drink alcohol, smoke, or chew is kinda funny. A lot of people wonder what I do. Which probably tells you more about them than anythinng

Yeah. I might have 1-2 drinks a month and at times I get looked at weird. It is nice that in my industry (heavy civil construction), the amount of smokers and chewers (at least among salaried staff) has definitely gone down.

Well last night was different than usual, my dad ended up with some chest pains so off to the E.R. we went. Took about 5 hours before we were discharged. He had taken some nitro earlier but it didn't kick in enough. Everything turned out fine in the end, but he is supposed to call his cardiologist today to have him go over the EKG that they ran. Some type of enzyme was high that shows your heart was under stress. they rechecked that after 3 hours and it was stabile to slightly down. So he was released and sent home.

Not the evening I was planning on, but since it had a good result all is well. Already have made 2 stops today and time to head off for the 3rd.

Had to drive an hour to a job today. Pulling a tree out of a lake and tipping over some other trees on this little isthmus, and then burning the brush. Got the tree out but couldn't burn all the brush because it got too windy. Now the DNR says a green tree that falls into water has to stay, but people were complaining about the tree being in the water. Had to use a rope to pull most of the branches out, and on one of them was turtle, which hung on while we were pulling it out and then jumped back in the water.

On the way back I stopped at the cemetery where my grandparents are since we drove right by it, never get over that way otherwise.

Never seen a turtle jump before.

What if you use an oar?
The phrase was "renting a _____ boat" They had all of that and several of the five letters of the missing word, So she guessed "renting a paddle boat". Nope. Next guy guesses the fourth letter, guesses the same damn thing. Sajak says Nope, that's still wrong. Third gal spins, guesses a weird letter. First gal spins again...someone FINALLY got it. But geeze, people - paddle has six letters. It's NOT paddle.

Just did my puzzle run while shouting at Wheel of Fortune...
Wordle took all six
Quordle in 5,6,7,8
Octordle in 12 5 10 11 9 7 6 8
Worldle in 3. Second guess was right next door to correct answer.

I want to go on Wheel of Fortune. If the recent nitwits on it were good enough to get on it, I should be able to, right?

I remember my Grandpas little bottle of nitro pills. Never good when he had to break the bottle out.

I only tried wordle today and failed. Too many words with the same 2-5 letters. Ugh.

My dad is going to get some fresh ones, he hasn't had problems for a long time. His were 18 months expired.

I think they sort of worked but didn't have the kick they were supposed to but this is just me guessing.

Yep it just got lost in the shuffle, I think he got new ones ordered today. But I'll double check with him tomorrow. Hadn't needed them and just slipped by.

MrsWx got on my dad when she saw how expired his was a year or two ago. I think she also said warm temperatures can make it less effective as well.

Honestly I put some of that on the Cardiologist too. If you are going to prescribe it then you need to have med checks with them or at least remind them at a yearly appointment or something that they need to pick up a new bottle.

Not gonna watch. Not gonna watch. Every time I watch, they seem to pull a win out of their collective asses.

Watching Tennessee beat the crap out of Longwood instead. I feel sorry for Longwood.
