So equating David’s hose job on the officiating to the rest of the team? That makes sense. The rest of the team has not looked good and you won’t get any disagreement there for the most part. But David outshot the guy I think 8 or 9 to 0. Guy backfooted the ENTIRE match and did not engage at all and planned on getting lucky in SV or OT. That’s not wrestling and he was unfortunately rewarded for it because the ref had balls to not even warn the dude. No different than when Pucillo upset Varner in the title match years ago.
Welp, this net round should be fun. All of the air has been let out of me, so I am gonna get drunk and not care what happens anymore. Too many years where we had no one to watch on Saturday night. 2022, just another one.
Wow... when you put it like that.... I said it a couple times before and I'll say it again. They didn't try to get into any of the big tournaments during the year AND IT SHOWS. It showed at big12s and showed again here. Stop avoiding hard matches during the year
It's a message board so say what you want but don't expect to not get some pushback. I think most of what you say is more about timing than actually what is being said. Write what you have on Monday rather than today and it may be accepted a little better. We are all pissed and disappointed but looking to question and assign blame should wait for another day and discussion. Just my opinion - take it or not.
I totally agree, that most of our guys are being the aggressors.... and I LOVE that about this team. Elam was a punk too.
I'd rather have a team full of guys being the aggressors instead of backing your way into the next round..... that is BS.
BUT... it is all about winning.... so we have to find ways to win these matches against these stallers when the refs aren't going to be calling it. We aren't the only guys that the opposing wrestlers are stalling against. I'm sure guys try to stall against PSU wrestlers too, but they still find a way.

You don’t have realistic expectations. Many do need to up their expectation in all of Iowa State sports. You have to expect more. You are asking for perfection. **** dude you flip and out and declare a football game over when we go 3 and out to start. Again Alabama football is likely the only program for you. But fun fact…even they lose.
Dresser and Co. better figure something out real quick to get these guys to keep fighting on the backside. This many years into it and what we have seen out of these last two tourneys hasn't been good. ZERO again ZERO guys in the quarters.

What a pathetic showing. Dresser needs to resign after this year. Same story every year. ISU can’t even finish in the top 10 ever or get more than 2 All Americans. Why in the HeIL did he get a contract extension. His results have been worse than KJs
I haven't felt supremely confident in one of our guys like Carr since Varner. Just a guy who would win albeit sometimes too close for comfort..That loss stings and hopefully he still gets 3rd..But as far as the rest of the tourney goes-not one wrestler in the quarters and we've lost steam since dual season ended.

Today sucked and almost everyone was terrible. Carr was far from great but in the end he wrestled to win and the other guy didn’t yet that dude got rewarded for it. To not even warn Willits was insane. Does he get the second stall call to give up a point? Who knows? But this sport needs to figure out what it wants. Boring defensive wrestling/stalling. Or aggressive action to push scoring points?
Rules are rules and that guy should have been dinged for stalling.
