Pre-season conference tournament

How many of you remember when the Big 8 held a pre conference tournament?what was the last year it was held? I believe it was held in KansasCity.

I’m 65 and remember it well. Yes, it was a holiday tournament over Christmas if I remember correctly. Use to listen to it on the radio.

Yes!! Went to one with my family when I was a youngster. Stayed at ISU team hotel. Was a great time!!

It was played at Municipal, where the Big 12 now holds the WBB tourney. Dated back to just after WW2, when it still was the Big 6 (+2 non-con invites).
