So now I'm curious... How would YOU characterize a national sports media source omitting two of sixteen teams from a graphic promoting sixteen teams?

I haven't seen a lot of the games but he frequently made me nervous this weekend. Is that how he plays generally? Loved the energy and effort, but, like Gabe some, kept waiting for a TO.

I love Jaz. I actually appreciate that he's pretty careful about where he passes the ball instead of blindly throwing it to the next guy in the rotation of the offense. It makes him appear unsteady, but he's just smart and doesn't want to turn it over. He does have a tendency to put the ball over his head instead of ripping through. He's one of our only bigs who can actually put it on the floor a little bit. It usually isn't pretty, but I trust him at this point.

The biggest thing he brings to the court is his IQ on defense. He beats guys to the spot, draws charges, tips rebounds, and annoys the hell out of the guy he's guarding.

My friends call him Twitch lol.

Barely a word about our win during the later games as well.
I noticed this. It was nothing about how Iowa state did what they did all year and turn people over and play 100% it was all about how Wisconsin couldn’t find their game. Basically Wisconsin be at themselves

I wouldn't, I shutdown outside noise. Not one national media person knows as much about this team as we do. Everytime we do something awesome a portion of our fanbase feels a need to run out and find how we're being disrespected. Its petty and pointless. Rather than looking for issues I just accept nothing they say or print will take away from what these guys accomplished.

....You can tell nobody outside the Big 12 has watched our games or Big 12 games in general.......
Long time ESPN guy Tony Kornheiser admitted today that he has no idea who TJ is and didn't know his last name does not start with an 'A'. These east coast reporters simply do not watch Big 12 games outside of a Kansas game or two.

Big Cat, maybe the most famous Wisconsin fan, said he's considering Miami as a lock of the year pick because "Iowa State is bad. They just are." Of course he prefaced it with "credit to Iowa State, they won, but".

You can tell nobody outside the Big 12 has watched our games or Big 12 games in general. We tried telling them that our games are more intense and physical than anything around the country. Then we come in and win the exact way we have all year, and they say we're a bad team. Our defense is elite. I don't know why that has been glossed over. Antonelli mentioned it in-game, but barely a peep on the studio crews.
A mentor I respect that is a huge Wisconsin guy sent me this after....I was like "WTF?"

"Someone had to win and Wisconsin was terrible and Iowa State not good. Not good beats terrible"

Not exactly sure.

Cornhole is bad. Never understood why people listened to him.

This 1000%. ISU fans should WANT our teams to be ignored and overlooked by the media. When that happens we typically perform well. When the media jumps on our bandwagon we usually disappoint.

I think people that see what's happening understand that ISU plays really well, they're just bad offensively generally.

Had a friend text me Friday something like 'ISU's fun to watch on defense, great ball movement. Give me that style of basketball all day'.

I had told him a while ago that they generally play well but offense is hard. We agreed that the LSU game was good evidence of how hard scoring is...but he understood that if ISU were even average on shooting, they'd win by 30 because of how well they do other things.

More bulletin board material - Jay Bilas asked on ESPN which double digit seed had the best chance to make the FF answered “Miami”, then gave a lengthy tribute to them. Barely a mention of ISU beyond “difficulty scoring”…

I’m not a betting man, but I like our chances…
