Anybody got some insider info on where to stay? I see Alumni hotel is the Westin (of course) lol. Didn't know if anybody knew of other hotels (preferably not almost 300/night lol ) where there will be plenty of cyclones or are people just gunna be pretty spread out? Heading on Friday so I'm sure more info will come about for hotels and bar hops during the day friday?

A buddy and I are going to make the trip friday. Looking like we will probably stay downtown and uber out to the United Center area. Family in the area told us we'd be better off staying downtown and ubering.

FYI, the Alumni hotel is available again at $189 per night. Here is the block website to book.

I live in Chicago, so I debated whether to get tickets for all of 5 seconds. Bought them right as the game clock hit 0:00 last night!
Exactly the same! Live 3 blocks from the UC! Myself and 3 others bought tickets right at the same time. Going to be a great walk over there and hopeful it’s just as sweet walking back home!

For travelers, take a look around UIC (saw a couple folks booking over there). Easy in and out and don’t have to worry about the bustle from the loop.

May I recommend the L. The train is safe, easy to get around and the comradery sometimes on the train is great. We rode it to the last sweet sixteen game in 2016 and it was fun. Fans from other schools (Virginia and Syracuse) were on there and it's a more "real" experience to be part of the action than just an Uber. See here and the maps are easy to see where you're at and where you'll need to go: https://www.transitchicago.com/. Also cheaper than an Uber. Granted, I also lived in Chicago for about 4.5 years and rode it everyday, so I'm a little biased.

Just my two cents, but regardless, yell LOUD and hope its an awesome experience for you and our Cyclones!

Effective today, the United Center is no longer requiring proof of vaccine or negative test. This was just announced on the news here and they made sure to say all NCAA attendees do NOT need proof of either.

KU fans whining about us booing again. Funny to me because when I turn on a KU home game, I hear just as much booing from their fans...of course they'll tell us its justified when they do it.

They boo every second of any game they aren't leading.

Shocker they don't boo when they are running teams out of Phog.

I love that they have the typical "Ames is horrible farm town and Lawrence is an urban paradise like midtown Manhattan" take in there too.

I'm not sure I want KU to win. I'm positive ISU can beat Kansas on the road this year because I saw them win in Phog Allen. I have no idea how we match up with Providence. Of course we played like crap and got killed by them at Hilton.

Read a little of that thread SL Express was actually pretty funny, with the comment we will go to their game just to warm up boo. It made me laugh KU boo's as much as anyone.

This is me as well. I was on StubHub as soon as the clock hit 0:00. Hopefully we get to make more noise than the Virginia game.

Can’t make it work Friday but if (when) we win, I’ll be there Sunday for sure. Not going to miss out on a shot at the Final Four and if it’s against KU, all the better. Although Providence should definitely win Friday (Go Friars), so then ticket prices plummet when KU fans try to dump them and Sunday is truly Hilton East.

Completely agree with KU fans booing. In the Big 12 finals against TTU I got a photo of the score board with KU leading 43-40. The reason I took a photo was because the fouls were two on KU and one on TTU. And yes the K-boo birds were out in force.
