The Hyatt Regency is one of my favorite Chicago hotels. Fantastic view of the river. Just up the street from the new Aqua Tower which is awesome. Designed by Jeanne Gang, a woman who is dominating Chicago architecture.

I stayed there last time I was in Chicago and we liked it so much we're staying there again. Love that hotel.

Ok, very iffy on going but need to solve this issue if we do- we would be driving down and back same night. What is the best option for parking and taking train or Uber? I saw o hare mentioned but we don't have to be in that area. We'd be coming from the north.

Thank you, prior posts made it seem like parking there would not be a reasonable option.
We went ahead and got parking. With my iffy ankle, I didn't want to be forced into walking distances. Granted, it may be tough getting in and out of the parking, but we're used to that from the cluster f that is parking control at Hilton. ;)

From a safety perspective it’s fine, especially during an event like this and if you’re driving back the same night I am assuming you’re not sticking around to find out. Cost wise? $30 seems ok to me but I haven’t parked at an event in probably 10 years.

Yeah I wondered about getting in and out but not dealing with train and such is a bonus here too

If you’re just driving in for the game, its probably best to just buy parking at the UC. It’ll actually be cheaper than ubering to and from a free spot someplace else. And the convenience/time saving/walking of not having to deal with the train is a bonus.

I was looking at seating charts for United Center and I noticed these "bars" scattered around the upper level. Are those actually open during games?

I remember the last time we were in a sweet 16 in Chicago, you couldn't even buy beer. I believe that has changed now.

Every corner of the arena on the 300 level, and yes they should be open. Beer carts along the whole concourse are also hopefully open.
