This is such a long day. So wish the women played before the men today.
Up yourz ya thick skid. I guess you really don't know how experienced their guards areThey have a couple of 24-year olds I believe. Seriously move on with your life already.

I'm not sure if yall are aware or not, but ISU is 1 win away from the elite 8!!!
Miami might be the toughest test so far, as they supposedly have a batch of guys that can shoot and score.
Not sure if the Windy City is this windy today, but tried walking the dog to distract from the anxiety and was getting too much stuff blown into my eyes. Did nab someone’s trash bill that blew out of the postal carrier’s hand, she was sprinting for it.Been hard to concentrate all day. And to think we gotta wait till the second game. Gonna be tough if KU goes to overtime.
Actually, that was Billy Packer. And yes, that did not age well. Hornacek, Grayer and company made him eat those words.Don't forget **** Stockton called iowa state junior varsity in our first sweet 16 year in 1986.
It wasn't last night's Duke team that they beat. It was a Duke team still struggling from a Covid shutdown. Remember that last year's 2 win Cyclone team nearly knocked off a Covid shutdown Baylor team. They seem way under-seeded. Had a decent conf season and finished 4th; with win over DOOK. How'd they get a lower seed?
No, save his great game for the one against Kansas.I'm not going to complain if Enaruna doesn't get a lot of minutes, definitely trust Otz, but I do hope he gets good run tonight and makes the most of it. I think this seems like a good matchup for him and wouldn't be surprised if he had a few offensive rebound put backs.
The only two teams I thought were nightmare matchups for us (TTU and Gonzaga) are out. We can beat anyone who's left.THIS! It's not just that this one is winnable, so is the next one and the next one! I haven't been this nervous since Niangs senior year.
ACC seems to have been underseeded. They seem way under-seeded. Had a decent conf season and finished 4th; with win over DOOK. How'd they get a lower seed?
I thought they’d lose the first two. Now I think they will take this one. I hope this opposite pattern does not take shapeUsing the same attitude i have the last 2 games. Expect this to be it and going into it with the mindset of enjoying one more game of this wild and impossible season.
That being said, we can absolutely win this game
I like where you are going with this analysis. The only wildcard I propose you consider is steals (ie "live ball turnovers"). Miami is 8th in the nation in team steals. Of course, ISU is 12th in that stat. So, if the Cyclones can take care of the ball and force a few of their own steals to to keep the Hurricanes off balance, I think the rest of your analysis holds. But if we see lots of steals and run outs by Miami's speedy guards, this game will turn into a scoring track meet that would not be great for the Cyclones' victory ambitions.SportsbookWire picks Iowa State winning 66-62:
Iowa State has the second-best adjusted defensive efficiency out of the 16 remaining NCAA Tournament teams, according to KenPom. Defense is more reliable than offense as teams have off-shooting nights all the time. But, I’d expect a top-ranked defense to be locked in for an elimination game.
Furthermore, Miami’s defense cannot stop a nosebleed and struggle to close out defensive possessions. The Hurricanes are 298th in defensive effective field goal shooting and 265th in defensive rebounding rate.
Essentially, I have more faith that Iowa State’s weak offense can find success against Miami’s terrible defense. However, I cannot say the same about Miami’s offense versus Iowa State’s defense.
Finally, Iowa State played a tougher conference schedule, had five more Quad 1 wins than Miami this season and college basketball guru Ken Pomeroy actually makes the Cyclones a 1-point favorite in his Iowa State-Miami game preview.
And don't forget Elmer who put the icing on the cake.Actually, that was Billy Packer. And yes, that did not age well. Hornacek, Grayer and company made him eat those words.

Getting to the 2nd weekend of the tourney is really great for the fans. You get those 3-4 days to take in a lot of sports talk radio and other media about the Clones. If tonight doesn't work out I hope people keep this as perspective. What a ride over the past week and this group is legendary.
From listening to some podcasts and radio shows, I don't think Miami had many really good wins this year. They seem way under-seeded. Had a decent conf season and finished 4th; with win over DOOK. How'd they get a lower seed?
I am not one to usually do this, but I will jump the gun here. How sweet would it be to bounce this Miami team for a Elite 8 matchup with KU? I would love nothing more than to send Rock Chalk home from the NCAA's. That would automatically become the greatest win in program history if it comes to pass.
