Took me a long time to watch it. Just kept holding off because I was worried I’d be disappointed. Man, was I wrong. Excellent movie that kept me engaged the whole time.

Don’t destroy me for this, but I’ve never read Dune, never saw the first movie, and have no idea what it’s about….. so could I still enjoy it?

I have never read it and couldn’t stomach the original movie. It was just so bad. This one was amazing. Worth your time at least once through. Can’t wait for the next one.

I think you need to look into the mirror and ask that question. You responded to me asking someone else if they thought Monte was a celebrity and tied it something stupid.
Okay. Honest question, are there two of you?

Do you seriously think you have to watch the actual presentation to know what the people at the microphone said?
You mostly likely need to be paying attention to it somehow or you won't see it.

And even if you happen to see a comment about it on facebook/twitter/whatever, who cares? You'll forget about it within a couple of days

Coda was a nice movie, and I’ve heard good things about West Side Story. However, I’ve seen fewer Oscar films this year than ever before, and I’m someone who has often gone out of my way to watch all the Best Picture nominees. So I have no clue what’s going to win.

I was the same way, never heard of it, besides a lot of people chatting about it on here after the movie came out.

Had no clue what it was about (besides sand/sci fi), watched it a couple nights ago and really enjoyed it. My only complaint was it felt a little unfinished, i thought it was a stand alone movie, didn't know there would be parts.

Okay. I don’t agree with your point that you have to actually watch the show to know what was said. But let’s say you’re correct for the sake of argument. Going back to the original premise, why is viewership continually declining? I’ve seen polls done and reasons given by the respondents but your opinion is just as valid. If we can do this without name-calling that’d be great.
