Looks like another wild off-season of coaching changes again. Sorry if already discussed, but now that Martin is out at SCar and Weber out at KState, do you think either Martin and/or KState would want a round 2?

Maybe he should have been focusing on the game rather than jumping ship so fast.

Also seems a little short sighted by Seton Hall. Good for him getting that off 3 games. Reminds me of other coaches who got similar deals (see Keno Davis).

I imagine he would be on the list of candidates regardless of the Elite 8 run.

It wasn't based solely on those 3 games given Holloway's overall record at Saint Peter's (with the worst support facilities in the MAAC) and his prior stint as an assistant at SHU. He was going to get the job regardless.

Anyone think Memphis will open this year? What were the odds that a staff of Penny and Larry Brown would get investigated by the NCAA? I could see Penny standing tough but I could also see him thinking that fighting all of these charges won't be worth it.

He would have been a frontrunner had SP not even made the tourney this year.

Plus he was heavily recommended by Willard who left SH to go to Maryland.
Plus he was a great player at Seton Hall in the late 90's.

Kind of like ISU hiring Hoiberg back in the day but Fred having a decade+ of college coaching experience. This was a no brainer when Willard moved on.

And was a previous assistant under Willard at Seton Hall. This is them hiring TJ---if TJ had an Elite 8 run at South Dakota State (but SDSU was a worse program with a smaller budget).
