Surprised how many have said yes. Maybe the opponent has a lot to do with that. Big 12 team won it last year and another finalist this year. Texas Tech was in the championship a few years ago. I feel like we don't really need more conference credibility. Screw KU. Go Tar Heels.

For ISU/Big 12 affiliated fans, it's well known that the Big 12 is very strong.

For many if not most, they're still wondering why the B1G flamed out so early and think all 9 teams would still be legit enough to make tourney runs despite the concrete evidence that it didn't happen.

I feel strongly that a colleague this week will tell me WI would have beaten Miami, even though they didn't even get to the play them, and Miami would have been worse for WI than they were for ISU since WI was so soft on D.

It's obviously not the main driver but accounts for about ~20 percent of each conference's TV deal. That is not insignificant.

TV networks still need inventory. Men’s basketball creates more inventory than football does because basketball teams play upwards of 30 games per season over a four-month span, while football teams play 12 games in a three-month span.

I reiterate - basketball has absolutely nothing to do with conference realignment. If it did, KU would be in the SEC instead of being part of the "hateful 8".

I dislike Kansas as much as the next clone fan. But I also don’t really care for UNC either. Kansas winning is better for the B12 which is better for ISU. I think. Or more beneficial for ISU than UNC winning it, which provides us no benefit whatsoever.

Yes. Outside of a few internet dorks, I don't really dislike Kansas or their fans. If you're upset about them cheating, North Carolinas academic scandal was so much worse. Plus a strong Big 12 can help recruiting. Similar to Alabama in football and the SEC, its probably helped schools like Ole Miss and Kentucky bolster their recruiting solely based on conference affiliation.

I want Kansas to win, it might help with future Big 12 TV contracts.

100%. Kansas winning tonight benefits us much more than UNC. KU will always be a blue blood. They’re the B12’s only one. They might as well act like it.

There's a game tonight? Who knew? I quit watching after St. Peters was eliminated.... there wasn't anyone left at that point that I could cheer for.

Yes. I bet future on them before the tourney. Plus I usually go B12, even KU. Easy too since I hate NC.

I am cheering for KU. Hate NC too, but mostly because of cheating Roy, who I am sure cheated at KU too. Nobody has to cheat anymore. It's now just NIL>

KU because they are still in the conference with us if it was those carpetbagging Whorns or landthieves, I'd probably be NC because screw traitors. even if it's a little less money for us.
