Correct. Most head to their houses/apartments or Welch Ave after a game
lived off Duff one year so I was part of the minority that headed east.

But otherwise true. NOTHING beat living right off of beach in the old townhomes directly west of the stadium. Perfection

We love our corner seats. We could have moved but we like the corner.
I just can’t see over there. I like having a clear angle of the chains. Really that’s an issue at any stadium corner though I suppose.

I think I know how this ends.

1. New Big 12 commissioner gets hired, bans field and court storming for safety reasons.

2. Students petition Pollard for their old seats back, on the grounds that the safety of visiting teams is no longer a concern thanks to this new league policy.

3. Pollard says "It's too much of a hassle to re-seat all these people again, but what if I allowed beer sales in the stadium instead?"

4. Students carefully ponder this offer for approximately 0.3 seconds before accepting.

5. Everybody wins.

Other than Iowa how many visiting bands even travel to Ames? Can't recall many.

I think the ISU band only makes like 1 trip to a visiting team a season (not counting a bowl game).
Seem to remember Kansas, Sooner and Texasssssss bands showing their faces at JTS. Not to mention UNI. Maybe OSU?

This move is strictly being made for safety reasons. There is no financial gain in this move. The student ticket prices remain the same, as do the public ones. You are basically flipping the student section with a public seating area that did not require a donation, too.
Thanks for coming on here Nick, is it safe to assume there won't be donations required for those that are moved to the old student section in the 2022 season, but in future years sections 37-39, X, and Y will require donations?

The student section did occupy some sections that will likely be donor sections in the future. The mirror of sections X and Y (V and U) are donor sections. The mirror of sections 37, 38 and 39 (28, 29 and 30) are donor sections. Non donors may get moved there this year but they will likely have to donate to keep those seats in future years. None of the seats that the students are moving to were donor sections up to this point.

Does not require a donation . . . for how long?
