I don't think they actually meant it was the literal end, but who knows. But I don't see how any of this conference realignment, new tv deals and NIL doesn't hurt us. I am sure we will be fine, but we already have enough of a battle being located in Ames, Iowa. Just seems like more and more things going against us.People who thought NIL wasn’t the end of college athletics were fools. That can be good or bad depending on your perception of it but that was always going to be the end result. College sports fans aren’t rational. And that includes the ones with money to spend.
Also, I could see the NIL turning cancerous in the lockeroom. Lets say we do get Hunter $1M next year. I could see if ISU starts struggling next year and Hunter hits a wall other guys being bitter about getting nothing and he is getting rich for not producing. so many issues with all of this.
put a limit on this and half the issue is solved.
Its like the rolled out an application with out a plan or testing anything. (in the IT World)
