I won’t be giving anything. I always assumed NIL meant the local Applebees would give the star QB a few gift cards. Pretty ignorant of me, but I certainly didn’t expect this set up.

Cracks me up when people break down a cost by day to make it sound like less than it is. Maybe you should get Sarah McLachlan to do a commercial for us

I understand where you're coming from, but I gotta disagree. My 2 kids aren't going to pay $0.50/day, so I guess I would then shoulder their $30/month in your scenario (on top of my own)? I think they'll have better luck getting more from the minority that seem to be on board with it than getting some from all. Just on here you can tell it's a non starter for a large portion of our fan base (me included).

Agree with you. And $30/month pays for my knock off cell phone plan. Way more value for me.

It’s interesting how so many “fans” proudly tell others how they hope ISU sports fail.

It's more that if we are now in an idiotic free for all pay for play world, what most of us loved about college sports, including ISU, is already dead. It's not about hoping that it fails. It's acknowledging that it has.

I’ll give $10/month. Its not much, but if 1/5th of Jack Trice stadium gave that much per month, that would equate to about $1.5 million/year. Strength in numbers. I hate where NIL is headed/already there, but I also want ISU to be competitive and field good teams.
This is where Im at as well, NIL is so ******* dumb in its current state.

I get that, I hate the NiL, I hate pay to play, but what’s the alternative? Complaining on the internet? Is there no hope left?

ISU isn't going to fail. UTEP, Akron, UMass, etc are the ones that really need to worry.

I mean, if the daily breakdown is too comical for you I'll just say 15 dollars a month to make it easier for your comprehension.

I get that ISU can’t pay the players but what a stupid system where a school makes $80+ million per year but needs the fans to pay the players to be competitive…

I am very glad players can capitalize on their talents now, I have no issue with it and hope they all make bank. But these sports generate billions of dollars but donors/fans are left holding the bag? No thanks.

I’m not giving my money to a 17 year old kid lol. This is all ridiculous. If we’re gonna pay the kids, let’s just get rid of the amateurism lie and actually pay them as employees.
Ahhh, that what this is. It comes from outside parties, not the college.

I'm also not planning on donating to a collective that pays Matt Campbell's salary, I kind of thought that's where the money goes when I buy tickets to games and merchandise.

I bet there's a decent number of people that would buy a Dekkers jersey with the some of the proceeds going to him.
Collective is for players.

National Cyclone Club goes to the athletic department which can contribute to his salary.

I hope I'm overreacting, but as some have said, this may be killing college sports for many of us. I thought I would always go to the football games every year until I couldn't physically make it. But now I can see giving up my tickets when all our good players have left to chase some NIL money and what we have are the transfers we could get from smaller schools with kids who would just be thankful to have an ISU degree.

Maybe it won't get that bad, but it seems to be headed that way. We lose Tyrese Hunter to some NIL "player", and in return we pick up the kids that just want to get out of the Sunbelt or Atlantic 10. Yeah, I'm gonna spend $2,500 a year for that.
