I feel like an old-timer around here sometimes, but if you can recall that you've got me beat.
Wikie'd it at least he played for the Jets and scored some TD's for them can't find the knocked out part.

To be clear, I was alive during his career, even at ISU. So I'm old, just not old enough to remember any of that.Wikie'd it at least he played for the Jets and scored some TD's for them can't find the knocked out part.
Was stashed at Waldorf to get him eligible for ISU.Wikie'd it at least he played for the Jets and scored some TD's for them can't find the knocked out part.

I know everyone hates the Jets, but they are the darling of the draft. Maybe they're finally figuring it out.
Regardless, happy for #28.
Congrats, Breece!!!!
Congrats Breece. Go get 'em!Good for Breece! First Big12 player selected?
Back in the Juco days. Good stories! Was stashed at Waldorf to get him eligible for ISU.
Totally agree, wonder if his injury moved him down the Board.Seen a few LBs go from the Big12, they weren't better than Rose.
The 2010s to present has to be the golden era of Cyclones who are great on the field/court and just all around guys you can root for.

Agreed but this isn't a surpriseSeen a few LBs go from the Big12, they weren't better than Rose.
Attitude was poor. He would refuse to practice if it was coldBack in the Juco days. Good stories!
Not really, usually day 3 guys are total crapshoots. Obviously there are a lot of guys that hit in that range, but there are far more guys that either don't make it or bounce around a bit before finding a landing spot.Jets really have had a decent draft. 2 fourth rounders and then done. Is there a lot of difference between a 6/7 rounder and a free agent? I know some are found there but guessing just as many are found as FAs as in the 6 or 7 th rounds.
In ancient times there were two (maybe 3) different OLineman from ISU that were all-pro.Since he got drafted I sort of followed him but I'm not sure anymore he was the 1st ISU player I remember following in the NFL though there were some linemen (?) I remember being in the NFL in the 70's. (I think)
Agreed. The talent isn't that different, but drafting guarantees you'll get the guy, rather than take a chance that he might sign with someone else if you try to get him as a UFA. A lot of teams are hedging their bets based on that, during the late rounds. Not really, usually day 3 guys are total crapshoots.
