We just assume that Shaw is just gonna keep his job.
I think he loses it to Dimitri Stanley in the fall.
Daniel Jackson and Greg Gaines will be pieces.
I have seen nothing from shaw or Darren Wilson to indicate they will make a major contribution.

Freshmen at K and P in the kicking game. I don't know if my heart can take that.

ya.... kicking game could be brutal next year. Or, maybe we find two kickers that we have for the next 4 yrs. hoping for the best, but this is one of my key concerns for next year.

- Kicking game
- Safety (especially depth - ouch!)

Other areas are sort of "normal"... you have turn over. Gotta have guys step up. I am ok with OL where we have guys with experience / time in the program stepping in. For safety, I think we had those guys but they left.

Overall, looking forward to a fun year.

Take your medicine and go back and edit and spell the kid’s name correctly. Dekkers. Don’t lash out at someone else because you messed up.

Seriously, it’s not that big of a deal. I seriously doubt that Dekkers himself would even care. It’s nitpicking.

Yeah. Shaw showed moments the latter half of his freshman year. Then nothing since.

Well, he named two players who have been dinged up the last two years in Wilson and Shaw. So there might be a reason you haven’t seen much from them.

I’m not expecting anything more than “solid possession receiver” out of Shaw. If he satays healthy. But I’m not going to run him down, either.

Who is "they"? I have never heard anyone say that.

It has been talked about on this site before on occasion, but not sure where the info came from.

Personally, I believe it though. I don’t understand why it would be hard to believe….. Dekkers has almost all the measurables over Purdy honestly. Arm strength, height, running ability, etc.

The only question mark really would have been how they’d perform under the lights with the pressure on…. and that’s almost impossible to tell until you play them.

I can also see Stanley(WR transfer from Colorado)to be in the two deep..
I'd like to Stanley at KR and PR actually. Jaylin Noel is so important to the offense. At wide receiver I think we're most explosive with speed on the field. That to me points to a starting trio of Jaylin Noel, Xavier Hutchinson, and Greg Gaines and Stanley. No knock on Sean Shaw, I just don't know if he has speed to be a true game breaker. I want to see us drop the multiple tight ends and spread teams out more. That will open the running game.

I think the two offensive tackle spots are so key this summer. It will be Tyler Miller and Jake Remsburg, if they can take a big jump this summer that helps our O so much. Remsburg has already proved it to me in his freshman year which was pointed out on the podcast. He can seriously play.

The DE opposite Will is going to be HUGE. May go to Blake Peterson, but whomever it is needs to be productive. I wonder what has happened to Johnny Wilson? He's still with program and had a ton of HS offers and was a gem of a recruit. I think Jayden Gray from Texas is an under the radar guy to grab playing time at DE. Big dogs were sniffing around him at the end of the recruiting cycle.

I'd like to see if Cole Pederson and Hunter Zenzen can see the field. Zenzen has the frame that seriously reminds me of Rose, I understand he has a ways to go to be that good. Pederson was a very solid recruit too. The LB room looks good with Orien Vance, Vaughn, and Reeder.

I don't doubt that Dekkers would have started over Purdy if they were in the same recruiting class, I have just never heard anyone in the program say that. I have a heard time believing a coach would say that out loud, even if they were thinking it. They all love Purdy. Anyways, they weren't in the same recruiting class so it doesn't matter... I am looking forward to seeing what Dekkers can do as a full time starter.

Dimitri Stanley was putting up good production at Colorado with terrible QB play. I think that means he can really thrive with a guy like Dekkers tossing it around.

Just to be fair, as long as certain people are bagging on Sean Shaw, who has been hampered by injuries…so has Dmitri Stanley. Maybe not as much, but some of you folks shouldn’t be “disappointed” in his performance if he happens to get dinged up at some point this Fall.

What happened to D'Shane James? I think that's his name. The WR that was a high school teammate of Purdy. He's not on the rooster anmore.
