Need some help here please. Just need to figure out how many GB of data I need per month. The wife and I video chat for 10-12 hours a day. We spend 7-8 hours a day on the interwebs and we watch a lot of music videos on the youtubes, as well as using Netlflix and Hulu for 5-10 houra per day. I also have two sons that use the interwebs.

Thanks in advance, kind folks.

Not sure if that is in my budget. I don't know a damn thing about technology, obviously haha

Lol, well your estimates above have 22 hours (on the low end) of hard usage daily - unless that's cumulative between all of you. Are you asking about a cell phone plan or home Internet?

0.5 - 1.5 GBphr video chat
0.7 - 3 GBphr video streaming
0.15 GBphr music streaming
0.15 - 0.3 GBphr "internet browsing"

Obviously best guesstimate- I'm with the poster who said "unlimited"

What do you have now for service? You're already doing these things, so your bill should give you some information on how much data you are using.

Your devices will also give you an exact number of data used during a user defined length of time if you go looking in the settings. Both data used on wifi and via your wireless service.

This seems like a combo of needing wifi and cell data. Unless you're never at home or in range of wifi
