I liked Ross a lot. Him and Chris certainly were a good tandem. Hey, maybe they will bring Steve Deace back? LOL, just kidding.

Somewhere Iowa
I thought the two did a great job together and I like the mix when Zamora was producing. I had wondered if he had a shot at co hosting.

Chris was the hardcore fanatic about sports and Ross was the fan/casual viewer. It kept it entertaining and the chemistry was great.

Please no.
Yeah, I think that would be one of the worst choices they could make (although I get that Cayin was joking). Because I remember him being fine when he did sports radio 15-20 years ago, but he wasn't anything special. Plus, while I understand that some people enjoy listening to people who say controversial/outrageous things (see Skip Bayless, Stephen A. Smith, Colin Cowherd, etc.), that doesn't apply to Deace because his controversial opinions are political and they aren't going to get brought up on the show. So you won't have people tuning in specifically to hear his takes and call him an idiot and you'll have plenty stop listening because they won't want to contribute to his success.

Ross' constant berating of callers, shouting people down and lack of overall sports knowledge turned me off long ago. Haven't listened since Chris gone (even then I would tune out for weeks at a time due to the nonsense crap they'd bring up), East side not that bad, Ross made it sound like an urban ghetto.
Let's hope they bring in 2 sports people with knowledge of the 4 major sports. Dirt track racing, fishing and East High sports don't count.

Sounds like KXNO needs to line up the @cyrocksmypants and @GTO Show. Not sure which one wants to pretend to be a Hawk. Guest appearances from @isufbcurt on football, racing, and taxes and @CycloneRulzzz on game day countdowns. And @Angie can fill in on down sports periods with off topic issues about anything not related to a Garza. If we have to have a real Hawk, get one of the ones from the Tennis thread during slam events.

there was a caller that mentioned he was gay and Deace viciously went after him. He was so self righteous.

His ‘success’ is negligible.

Ross kept specifically saying he was done with afternoons but that he'd still be around. I wonder if they're swapping him and Roberts.

Doesn't he do the Hawkeye football post-game show? Maybe he will still be doing that?

I'm not sure. I'd imagine he's still doing SoundOff, but that didn't come up yesterday that I heard.
