Same. I gave solo Ross a shot, couldn’t handle all the “Hawk talk with Ross and guest”. CW/Ross were probably the best sports show KXNO has ever had.

Agree with the first sentence. I tried listening yesterday, but the first 45 minutes were 100% hawk football, and then next 15 were devoted to the daily Garza update. Are you freaking kidding me? We are a week out from kickoff, and you devote an entire segment of your first hour to a G/D league player?

Couldn't take anymore, so tuned out. I have no misconceptions that this time slot will get any better.

Deace was a tool talking about sports. He was practically giddy about ISU's impending doom during the 2010 Big 12 Missile Crisis. Miller was too, but he's admitted that he was a douche back then and walked it back completely - hell, I'd go as far as to say I actually like Miller these days. Deace just keeps digging into his ****-ass persona.

I just hate the double standard by KXNO/their personalities… they’ll say Marty is a scumbag for ripping people off… Then they have Frank Garza (who stole WAY more money than Marty did) on like he’s the second coming.

They absolutely need to be called out for it.

The Garza **** has gotten out of hand, I'll admit that. I usually have little issue with KXNO's afternoon programming and find the "Hawk agenda" talk exaggerated, but their recent obsession with Luka Garza is undeniably odd.

Is he (Frank) paying for the spots on the radio?

Ross made a comment a few weeks back that Sean Roberts was really gunning for the afternoon spot. For the middle age to boomer crowd who devour Travis Justice and own Seantourage shirts, this is wonderful news. To anyone who has actually listened to him bumble through a conversation on the radio, this would be the worst idea.

He HAS to be, right? Only thing that makes sense.

I agree, I don't listen regularly outside of football season but they don't normally have one guy bounce around each show like that and given that it coincides with the camp they're running I don't think it takes a genius to see what's going on here.

Miller & Condon just said Ross will still be on KXNO daily (once he comes back from a Canadian trip) so I would assume going to the Morning show.

You listened to the Saturday morning show that he used to host?

I thought he was perfectly fine on that when he needed to be the leader of the show instead of the punching bag for the hosts. Definitely more sports insights than most of the current hosts.

I think 13 WHO featured the Garza’s basketball camp on their sports three or four nights in a row.

Does any other region have so much coverage on a completely inconsequential athlete? He was a great college player that never got out of the first weekend and he’s going to be G League bound.

And sorry, but a player charging $X a head for a camp in the one state where he’s marketable is not “giving back.” Just stop. Maybe if Frank was raising money to make whole some of the people’s lives he wrecked by defrauding them that might actually be a story.

I have no problem covering Garza and the camp. Nothing wrong with that. But covering it as some big story for multiple days and acting like he’s doing some incredible charity work and giving back to Iowa is ridiculous.

I didn't see that much coverage of the Niang camp that he does every year.

That wouldn't be so bad. It would consolidate 2 of the biggest hok homers into the same time slot. Maybe they will move Condon to the early show, and make it a trifecta.
