Wasn't Donnie D's high-water mark better than that? I was in school then, and I thought we started 5-0, and oranges were raining down on the field the next game (Big 8 had an Orange Bowl tie-in). Didn't even make any kind of bowl, though :-(

See my previous post. (You're referencing '80 with 5-0 start, ISU's highest was #19.)

McCarney got to 9 before that team completely imploded. Started with a 45-3 shellacking in Norman when Seneca went 2-21 passing. Don’t think the offense even went over 100 yards that day.

Looked it up...49-3 and Seneca had 4 completions.

BIG difference for optics I know. :)

I think they had like 60 yards of offense.

And then the rest of the season happened.

They kept sending 2 safeties from the blindside putting Seneca in panic mode. Then our receivers were locked down at the LOS. It was a train wreck.

Good post. Didn't the Seneca Wallace team crack the top ten.

Just trying to have a little fun. Paul had some huge wins, but after thinking, I don’t think he makes the list.
