Either the pay is **** or no one wants to do sports talk in Des Moines (I’m guessing the former) because the fact that KXNO had a chance to bring in some new blood for at least a slot in their lineup but just reshuffled their existing people speaks volumes.

Well, iHeart wanted to **** can all of them except Murph and Andy a couple of years ago, so they've probably just been waiting for them to leave on their own so they don't have to be the bad guys again. I didn't figure they'd want to replace the salaries with new talent.

But....an afternoon duo of Sean and Heather has the potential to be epically bad. We'll see.

And it probably went completely unchecked by whoever was interviewing him...
Oh it absolutely did. Because apparently according to that show any preseason hype around the programs in the eastern part of the state are completely justified, but if any hype is pointed towards the programs 45 minutes north of the radio station, it’s viewed as “nobody sells hope like those people up in Story County.”

It’s been an interesting evolution of TC in the last 5 years from his time on 1700 thru today. He’s evolved from being an unbiased and objectively fair critic of isu to just being a typical petulant Iowa Twitter at any opportunity.

I still don't know what to think of the station after a post by Stanz. Seems like it's just a massive **** show.

Travis and Sean are absolutely brutal to listen to on the radio. I would hate for their sh*t morning show to divide and force me to listen to something else in the afternoons
Well your choices are listen to KXNO and get local sports talk and coverage of iowa state or listen to national radio and hear nothing but alabama, georgia, brady and nfl talk.

I didn't listen to the morning show, but I'll give Heather & Sean a shot. Hope it goes well.

I would think Emery would see the writing on the wall at this point. Don't know if he has any other options but if he does then probably time to move on.

Emery has a pretty good gig as the producer of Max and Amy in the mornings and his own Saturday morning show.

It may not be sports talk but he could wind up doing something on 1040 WHO as he fills in there too. He's OK in small doses but he kind of just needs to do a show solo as he just talks over anyone he paired with sometimes.

Was Ross on this morning? I tuned in for a little bit a few times during the 7am hour but never heard him.

He was on in the 6:00 hour. He had to call in because the internet where he is in Canada was not working.
