We have had some significant injuries for the opener the last couple of years. Specifically, Kohler was hurt coming out of camp the last two years if I recall correctly. Purdy struggled without him.

I'm not sure why people are so reluctant to admit that Campbell teams have been crappy against FCS competition. There's a really firmly established pattern. You can find excuses for any given instance, but the fact remains that in 5 games against FCS schools, there has been one win 6+ point win.

I would love nothing more than to just blast SEMO and have a nice comfy W, but we have a large enough sample size at this point to conclude there's no real reason to expect it.
So apparently everyone here missed the LeClairr roadshow, of Blum on the podcast quoting Blythe (who used to be in Farley’s staff) at it saying that Farley sells out every year to play their best against ISU/UI/Wisconsin, whoever is on their schedule, because beating one of those teams is more meaningful than a good FCS record.

That explains a lot.

You keep referencing this like we're all supposed to go 'Oh, that's such a valid reason for ISU to look how they do throughout the first 3-4 weeks of each season'.

Do you think ISU has looked sharp in September, particularly the first two weeks, in the CMC era?

Small towns in Marshall county. Legrand, Ferguson, and no idea what ‘D’ is. But the schools have all consolidated.
