Just rename this site Karen Fanatic and be done with it.
Here's a thought to those who find offense to this type of radio show. Don't listen. No need to be a Karen.![]()
Jesus Christ. Guessing you're the type of person who wants Dave Chapelle canceled as well. You're making baseless accusations out of nothing. Lighten the **** up, Francis.I dumbed it too, I think it’s completely fair to dumb it, and I did it for several reasons.
I think it’s fair to criticize something even if you don’t consume it. Because otherwise you could never criticize any content (because you can’t criticize it if you don’t listen to it, and you can’t criticize it if you do because you should just stop listening).
I don’t listen to Travis because I don’t want to support him. That doesn’t mean I can’t criticize him for being an immature man-child or potentially engaging in sexual harassment.
I also don’t think criticizing him for being an immature man-child and potentially engaging in sexual harassment makes someone a “Karen”
It's a local sports radio show. Why should I assume that sexual harassment and rude comments would be part of it? And why should I just accept it. If you think that's normal discussion, then maybe the problem is yours.
Listening to JP describe how the bridge changes the entrance to Iowa State University and Ames as a whole just now was pretty cool.
For sure. Even when I put my neutral glasses on, there's just nothing that screams "exciting" about their athletic department. Just overall a very boring department, which is a huge reflection on Barta. There are lots of ways we are better than Iowa but the biggest gap is at AD. JP runs circles around GB.
Murph and Andy had JP on after the NCAA tournament to talk about NIL. I PM’ed Andrew Downs saying I’d be interested to hear GarBar’s and the Drake and UNI’s AD’s views as well. He basically answered Barta is asked to come on quite often actually. Lol. Sounded like they don’t even bother asking anymore. There are lots of ways we are better than Iowa but the biggest gap is at AD. JP runs circles around GB.

Can listen to the interview here. It starts at the 12:12 mark:Listening to JP describe how the bridge changes the entrance to Iowa State University and Ames as a whole just now was pretty cool.
Join us in the cave if you want to discuss cancel culture. I'm fine discussing it here but I think that's a better place for it.Jesus Christ. Guessing you're the type of person who wants Dave Chapelle canceled as well. You're making baseless accusations out of nothing. Lighten the **** up, Francis.
On top of that, you just admitted you don't even listen to the show, so no, that isn't fair to criticize something you don't consume, because then you end up with **** like what you're spewing where you're pulling out **** from your ass.
Playing devil's advocate here, but what if KXNO gave a weekly spot to a police reform activist? I'd imagine the "stick to sports" folks would be out in full force then.
I think Parizek does a nice job of coming off approachable and he's likable enough. But I know there was one time I was listening where he went on a diatribe about how much crime is stopped by pretextual traffic stops, which are an enormous issue in the policing world. I also heard KXNO run an ad put out by the police union encouraging people to comply when police are questioning them, regardless of their justification, which is also to many a hot-button debate in the police reform world. Without taking a side, I think you can at least agree it touches on controversial topics that have absolutely zero to do with sports.
So without Caving this thing, I guess I can see why people don't understand giving something like this a platform on a sports station while also not providing any opposing viewpoints. It just seems very out of place to me.

Have you listened to the radio ever? Specifically like the whole AM dial?Has someone offered to sponsor an opposing view? Money talks. I’d guess if a police reform activist paid the money, KXNO would find a place to put them on.
Also, the whole opposing viewpoints on the radio went out the window 1987 when the Fairness Doctrine was abolished. It just happens, unlike this case, it’s the conservative agenda that gets ignored for the most part.
On Saturday night I was driving up to the bridge lit up with storm clouds and massive lightning in the background. Super cool.Listening to JP describe how the bridge changes the entrance to Iowa State University and Ames as a whole just now was pretty cool.
