It will be 3-3 for us setting up for a game winning FG. We have outgained Iowa 400 yards to 32, but several turnovers in the red zone, including a bird flying into a Dekkers pass and the ball falling into an Iowa defenders arm is the reason for the low scoring output. Gilbert attemts the gamewinning FG as time expires, but a 200 MPH gust of wind takes it the other way and the ball go through the uprights on the opposing side of the field and Iowa is awarded 3 points to win.

Long story short, bet the under.

This Iowa team ain't scoring over 20 anytime soon.
They put up over 30 last year in Ames… Ferentz just owns Campbell right now - cyclones are bound to make mistakes and gift EIU dumb turnovers and perfect field position… just because Iowa’s offense sucks doesn’t mean they won’t score points against us

Our D handed the ball to our O three times in SDSU territory yesterday, twice inside their 35, and we netted 3 points. Against FCS. Even if our D gets us 2 TDs, our O isn't good for any more than 6.

Campbell needs to beat Iowa, guarantee he feels some heat coming into this week.
Yep, until Campbell actually beats Iowa I will think Iowa will win the game. Hawkeyes don't beat themselves against us and usually control the line of scrimmage.

All the pressure will be on Hawks.

Really? Feels like there is a huge opportunity for Campbell and staff to finally beat Iowa. Can't imagine what kind of pressure they'll feel if the game is close.

I'm betting Iowa heavily. Special teams and turnovers plus home field all point to Iowa.

Don't be too pissed when Petras looks like Joe Montana in 6 days. We've seen this 100 times

I get what you're saying, but Petras was terrible in Ames last year. He had a nice throw on the TD to Jones, but he was 11/21 for 106 yards and -23 rushing yards.

I do think their punting and crowd will be major factors. I expect their crowd to be very drunk and angry, and who better to project the vitriol you have for your own coaching staff/players than your most hated rival.

I still think the pressure is squarely on Iowa. Nobody expects ISU to win. When you are favored and expected to win, the pressure is on you, not your opponent. The pressure was on ISU last year because they were favored.

I get the argument that the pressure is on ISU because they have not beat Iowa since 2014. I just don’t think the players and staff will feel pressure based on the past results.

This is the lowest pressure Cy-Hawk in a while. Neither team has especially high expectations. ISU and Iowa had 6.5 and 7.5 preseason win total over/unders in Vegas, respectively. The last two Cy-Hawks made College GameDay; this one is on Big Ten Network.

There's still pressure for sure - it's a rivalry game, the home team is expected to hold serve, Campbell has never beaten Ferentz - but it's relatively low. It's almost nothing compared to (what were at the time) enormous stakes last year.

The biggest question mark is Dekkers. It's good that he got some experience in Norman in a major environment. But let's see if he psyches himself out being an in-state kid and now playing in the Cy-Hawk. Purdy got in his own head last year.

Looks like UofI -3.5 which is basically a pickem since usually 3 points goes to home team. I bet it gets to around 2 before Saturday.

Take the under.

This is going to be one of the most unique Cy-Hawk weeks in awhile. The pressure was 100% on us last season, and we folded.

This season, Iowa's pressure feels more internal and not much to do with ISU. There is definitely pressure on Campbell, but I think our players will play looser than our seniors last season. Purdy was not up to it.
