I'm saying fans and donors wouldn't stand for BF being handed the keys. If it's an inside hire my vote would be LeVar Woods.
Judas Priest dude, has nothing in the last 5-6 years told you how this is going to work out?

LaPorta looked pretty bad on Saturday, dropped passes, nothing real good to talk about there, but yes he will look like Dallas Clark on Saturday.

Did that 5-star safety from SE Polk even play a snap Saturday for Iowa? He must have looked like **** this spring.
Special teams. He’s a true freshman lol. They love what he’s brought in practice but he’s still got some things to learn. Their D gave up 120 yards of offense. They’re not in a hurry to push him out there.

Lol, Brian ain't going to be the next Iowa HC. I know it's kind of the dream, but sorry, no.
It’s not a dream, it’s potential reality your program created for itself.

A few years ago it was a potential reality. I guess if BF turns it around and all of a sudden gets the offense rolling in the next few years it could be a potential reality again. But as it stands with the overwhelming disdain there is for BF there's no way even GB would give him the keys.

Right, great point. Barta has a strong history of making sound hires that follow reason and logic.

There's only 1 thing Gary Barta is beholden to more than Kirk Ferentz. Donors. When donors start making noise, the program bends. This is why KF released that weird January depth chart after the bowl game back when there was so much noise about Beathard needing to be the starter over Rudock. Hadn't ever been done before, hasn't been done since. They did it to appease the donors. There's zero chance donors would stand for BF being the next HC.

Why do the donors allow him to remain as their hapless OC?

Damn. Dark place around here. History certainly clouds this game but CMC needs to take advantage of opportunity this year and grab a W.

In what other situation do people prepare to lose because, 'man, that punter is really good!'
