Our offense and defense is both better the the quackers.... I'd say we would make it somewhat "respectable"....

My guess would be 48-22 Dawgs.....
We're not putting 22 up on Georgia lol. For reference last year the only time a team put up more than 18 points on Georgia was Alabama in the SEC championship game.

Oregon's offense is so bad they're starting a quarterback that failed at Auburn. Unless the Pac-12 is so awful, Oregon isn't going to be very good this year.

Oregon has better NFL placement, facilities, sponsors, stadium, etc. They've had a Top 10 pick the last 3 years. This is what their locker room looks like:

There are dozens and dozens of reasons beyond "Oregon paid him more" for him to pick Oregon over us. But sure, focus on one game. I'd venture to guess we'd struggle to do any better than 49-3 against that Georgia team.
But Oregon is missing 1 awesome thing that ISU has: MATT CAMPBELL.

Yeah because we’ve been blown out regularly in the last 5 years. Guess what, we’re good.
We also haven't played Georgia. You're delusional if you think we would give Georgia a good game right now.

The idea that Oregon develop a kid for the NFL better because of who is in the NFL is terrible reasoning. They recruited great for years, which is 100% why they put more guys in the NFL.

A quick check of all time 247 recruits and Oregon has about 50 guys that were top 5 nationally at their position. ISU has zero HS guys that were top 5 in their position nationally. They have had a few Juco top 5 in their position. Hell, I would also say that at ISU guys getting in the NFL in recent years were more of a function of great recruiting finds over on campus development. A lot of the draft success recently at ISU were under recruited guys that blew up really early at ISU.

Nebraska has almost the same number of guys in the NFL and Texas has way more. So clearly a given player must get developed way better at those schools.

Why do people gasp at the thought of someone going to another school for money that is legal? And why does someone shame another person for suggesting it?

We would think a guy was nuts for choosing a preferred walk on over a scholarship almost no matter the situations, schools and coaches. Yet we expect kids to choose a scholarship over a scholarship plus legal pay to play money? And if you suggest that a guy going to school with lots of money, with a new coach and a recruiting class totally crowded in your position over a school that was in on you early, with a great staff, with you as THE guy in your position over money people act like you are some prick accusing the kid of something terrible.

Who cares why he decided on Oregon. Get used to it. Whether this came down to money or not it’s going to happen all the time with new recruits and guys on the roster.

There is not a next bud. This was our big one for this class. we are not on anyone else in this class of this caliber
This recruiting cycle is only about half over. We’ll doubtless be in on some decommits from other schools before February.

And there are guys like this we’re on who haven’t even set their OV’s yet. I’d LOVE to get this one.

Doesn't scream that he's too bright either. You weren't kidding with the 6 d like commits
This doesn’t scream that someone is too…informed, either.

The 247 experts are saying there’s a 50-50 chance Blake ends up at linebacker. Other services have been flat out calling him a LB.

So I’m taking a wild guess that either he or a couple of those “6 d line recruits” (two others are listed at “Edge”) are actually being recruited as linebackers.

Since, y’know, there’s only one player committed to them actually listed as a LB.

Glass houses, bro,

(And I would have cheerfully penciled him into the Rose/Reeder spot in ‘23, if it worked out that way)
