Dekkers looked great for his first start in hostile territory. Had a couple picks, but high percentage completions, throwing into some tight windows, quick release. Really impressed! Confident he can lead ISU to 7 or 8 wins. Terrible INT in the endzone, but he was ridiculous on that 99 yard TD drive.
Lot of grit from the defense. Iowa's O is bad, but they did exactly what they were supposed to. If not for Iowa's defensive/ST effort this could have been 2005 all over again and a 20 point win. I got a feeling when they make the change, Iowa's offense will at least look occasionally competent. Ferentz did ISU a favor sticking with Petras.
Lot of parallels with the losing stream vs KSU and then Iowa. 2018 vs KSU and today had all the feeling of the same old ****, but ISU managed to overcome.
Side note, a former Iowa WR transferred to Purdue and has 250 yards receiving and 4 or 5 TDs this year.
