I can say this with absolute certainty: IF there is truth to the fact that Matt would be interested in Nebby, Alberts made a big mistake letting it get out like this. He HATES to have to answer questions about stuff like this during the season.

It seems to me firing Frost after 3 games is just as much an indication that Trev is fighting to keep his job after deciding to bring Frost back after last season.

For some prospective coaches, hiring a coach 3 games into the season is not the type of AD or President they would want to work for.

The only justifiable reason to fire a coach with 1-2 record is personal issues, coach treatment of athletes or coach has lost team.

I think it's more likely Nebraska goes after:

* Urban Meyer
* Chris Peterson
* Highly-regarded OC/DC (Wisconsin guy?)

Isn't Urban the home run hire here? Champion on the college level. Gun for hire. Big name. Hard ass.

Just keep him away from bars in Ohio and away from the kickers.

Chris klieman and Lance leipold are the names in my opinion. Those guys are at an age and a point in their career where they would be inclined to take a shot at a big job/1 big payday, moreso than Campbell who can continue to be choosy. ND might be open again before long, where i don't think they'll let the players hire the coach again next time.

I was very near Jack Trice in an area unrelated to football this morning and did not see Campbell. It's obvious from this that he was in Lincoln interviewing.

I didn't see him in Madison either so he was definitely in Lincoln and in no way reviewing film/scouting for this next week's 3rd game of the season.

CMC really needs to start posting his Google schedule so we can all stop being so insecure.

At the Creighton game across the street, I had a decent talk with a Husker fan from Omaha, a guy about mid 30s early 40s. We took turns crapping on Iowa. Then, with a straight face he tells me NU will never settle for 9-3 or even 10-2 because NU deserves to compete for championships every year. True story.

It honestly gave me the instant feeling that maybe tavernhoks aren't so bad after all...

Nebraska fans crazy crazy crazy. Bottom to top delusional. The reasons for their fall have been well documented and those conditions still exist today and they aren’t capable of changing them without turning back time and reversing all of the terrible moves they made. They were the ghetto blue blood, they aren’t in the big boy club with Bama, tOSU, ND, Michigan, OU like they think they are.

Why is everyone pretending like they didn’t just lose to GA Southern a matter of hours ago?

He hasn't had a job that fit him like Nebraska offer him though. You're ******* nuts if you think he wouldn't leave Ames for the right amount of money. Nebraska is pretty similar to the Wisconsin job whether you believe it or not.

Call me when Wiscy loses to GA southern. Why can’t people just call a spade a spade when it comes to Nebraska.

We'd just consider it a smokescreen since he's never done that before.

Not if he doesn't just put 'Office' in one block and tells us specifically what he's doing.

(I had a boss who was obsessed with this kind of stuff once so I like to joke about it to air out the micromanaging trauma)

Pretty similar to the Wisconsin job, well THERE'S a ringing endorsement for the position! Nebby, Wisky and Iowa are pretty similar, you are absolutely right, forgive us if we don't see the luster in those. And as for your strike while irons hot take - if this year plays out like the last 3 or 4, his name will be in the running for half a dozen or more openings and its a good bet several of them will be better than kNu
