Not exactly sure.
OMG! Two games and Hunter is a poor runner. It's fun to read the humor on this site!!!!!!! Now suggest starting Brown at RB and you are on to something.
No brown at QB and Orange at RB. Half a ton of QB sneak coming at you when you throw in downing.

Hunter has been a little tentative and hesitant on his runs. He needs to commit to his move up field or sprint to the corner if that is what there. I think it is just a matter of experience and getting a feel for the speed of P5 defenses, he should get better.
They setting up a misdirection later in the year .

I’ll stand by my conclusion that SO FAR, Hunter has not shown a knack for running the football and is a “poor” running QB.

I’m all for “setting things up” and “keeping the defense honest” therefore we need to run plays where he keeps the ball during the game, but right now, not in the red zone when points are the goal.

No serious person wants Brown at RB or QB.

I've been really happy with the offense, but I would not mind if we cut out the quarterback runs
HE busted a 50 yard run against KU last year. The kid has some wheels, just hasn't shown a lot so far this year. In the first game he had a couple decent runs, but ran out of bounds to avoid any contact, which I am sure exactly what the coaches want.
Play action passes need a bit smoothing out.

No more designed QB runs to the short side of the field in the red zone!

Dekkers is a poor runner, so far in his career.
yes the ~6 designed run plays he's attempted in his 2 total career starts :jimlad:

Dekkers had two nice runs in the first half where he took what was there and put his head down for 6-8 yards. He struggled on the QB powers in the red zone because he tried to bounce them to the outside. I like what I've seen from him as long as he understands you can't bounce at this level. He's strong and has better top end speed than Purdy.
Yeah he just needs to run up the field and take what he can get rather than stretching it out to the sideline.

The staff used Purdy's legs in the red zone with a lot of success, especially before Breece became a Touchdown machine. Guessing they thought they'd have the same success with Hunter. I'm sure they'll adjust.
