That's a great business plan for 7 days each year and terrible for 358 other days. Even the 7 days it would probably suck because it would run out of inventory.
I didn’t say a permanent place.

Is that a place with all local beer? Would be cool to have a place like that. Partner with a bunch of local places to do special Cyclone themed brews

Also, Mississippi River Distilling would be smart to try and get a place in Cytown.

Any estimates on how many dump truck loads it will take to raise the grade? And plans for where this will come from?

So you dont think College kids are a big majority of the business of Freddy's? Kum&Go convenience, BareFoot Outfitters on Lincoln? You dont think they are the majority of the business of Cy's Roost, Welch Ave? Cy's Locker? ISU Book Store? Copyworks? Even CVS?

But these all are just fine year round, they all get a lot, probably most, of income from students, and dont get a huge influx of business that this location will on Game Days, from football, mens and womens Basketball, wrestling and volleyball, plus concerts, conventions and other events hosted by the area, including special olympics Iowa just to name one.
Time shall tell, but all those you list are close to central campus. This is out there. I would not hoof it there in the winter. Maybe if a sporting event on I was going to anyway, but not otherwise. Like I said I didn't have that kind of money. I would have been searching the daily newspaper late night pizza specials and trying to find someone to split it with.

Should have thrown in some condos, etc. Permanent audience.

It's a lot closer to MWL than central campus is. Closer to all of the Beach Ave housing and a lot of the Greek housing as well.

I love this project. If they do outdoor gamewatches right I could see it being full for vast majority of away games except maybe the last one or two of the year.

I do worry about flooding, hopefully they consider that in the design. I mean you'd think they would.

Yeah, having lived in MWL and Helser when I was at ISU, then a rented house near Helser...this would be comparable distance to some of the dorms and all of the greek system as Welch is to lots of students now.

Not sure I'd have went there for a random friday night from the other side of campus, but if they had gigantic outdoor screen I'd have went there to hang out and watch away game football.

It's in no way an inconvenient location.
