What it comes down to is that we preach winning in the margins, and we almost never win in the margins, even when we win the game.
Poor O-Line play
Not taking chances downfield
Poor playcalling
Special teams, especially kick and punt coverage
Weird/stupid unforced mistakes(bad drops, bad snaps, dropped INTs, missed sacks leading to other teams getting 1st downs)
Penalties at dumb times
Poor defense at the end of the 1st half
Losing on the final drive of the game
I love Campbell but holy **** how do we have so many constant problems year to year.
Luckily campbells kids are too young to coach. If you think changing OC is going to change everything then you better look at what is happening out east.
They didn't change their OC though? They hired a consultant from a team who also never has a good offenseIf you think changing OC is going to change everything then you better look at what is happening out east.

And if our deficiencies were different. But they’re not. It’s always the same stuff.Young team this year. Last year blew chunks. Big chunks. I could take this years struggle if we'd kicked a$$ last year.
Manning is the absolute biggest joke of a play caller. I don’t understand that there are still people that like him and think he deserves to still be here. If Manning isn’t gone this off-season, then I give up.Manning is completely useless. I can't emphasize completely enough.
Our play design is ******* atrocious, starting at the line of scrimmage. If you are going to ONLY have 5 offensive lineman in pass protection you cannot have tight splits. Baylor mauled us by using 4 DL, splitting them wide, and angling their ends straight at Dekkers. Often the tackles were beat off the line and Dekkers has no where to go. Just as worse, the route design of the WRs completely gives him little in the way of hot routes. If you watch the film we often have 4-5 ******* guys running routes in the same depth of the field. Often none of our receivers are in/out of their breaks, hanging Dekkers out to dry. Teams consistently bring the house, Manning doesn't adjust protection schemes, and Hunter is a sitting duck. It's infuriating.
I'm not even going to talk about the **** show we call "special teams". This team refuses to make schematic adjustments and makes WAY too many mistakes to ever get over the hump. Campbell has been great for the program but he has a lot of flaws: special teams arrogance/ineptitude, loyalty to suspect coaches, and a propensity for his teams to beat themselves. I used to think it would change but this year has convinced me that it won't.
Going to be a frustrating season and Campbell needs to take responsibility for that.

Or bad receivers opening up space for X running a real route.X should never be running those very short crossing routes. The TE’s need to be running those.
True, but last year was not a transition yearYou’re just describing every perennial non-top 15 team in cfb. This is a transition year.
