Leonard seems like the obvious choice but if he tanks the rest of the season, they may have to look elsewhere.

That's a very awkward situation and then if they do similar to Gard that's 3 true Sconnies shown the door.

I think they know there will be pressure to give Leonhard a shot, so if he crushes it, great. If he doesn’t they go for Leipold.

Testifying
Just kind of perusing coaches, Eric Bienemy played and coached at Colorado.
You would think he'd be a candidate there.

There sure will be a lot of Kansas fans rooting for the Badgers the rest of the season.

And there will be a whole bunch of B12 fans rooting for WI to continue the downtrend.

Way up there

With his rap sheet and trouble as an assistant it would be pretty crazy for him to end up the head coach there. At one point, I'm pretty sure he wasn't welcome on campus.

I didn't know about that stuff. Now I'll be going down a rabbit hole checking it out.

I think he’s seen as pretty much a paper tiger. At least in the NFL anyway.

Scott Frost or Brian Ferentz might be a really good fit for Northern Iowa next year as a new coach. I think they could really sit in those kitchens and living rooms in Eagle Grove and Waukee and look those moms and dads and 5'9", 180 pound kids in the eye and promise they will get to play.
Haverhill maybe, but not Waukee.
