In my opinion the Nebby job today is below Urban. If he really wants to come back again, he would have better options.
Maybe Auburn but a lot of big schools will struggle to go near him with the baggage.

To betray Minnesota like that would be low.
If the pickins are slim Fleck is a solid pickup imo.
This helps Iowa St, because they can now pick off recruits that may have been Minnesota bound.
I am not sure any coach can betray the Gophers.

The old guard media in Minneapolis would push away any coach other than Bud Grant. I have nothing against the Gophers, but would prefer their media talking heads would actually have something to complain about - like a 2-10 record.

Agree. If Urban wants to come back would think schools like Auburn, Arizona State or even Georgia Tech would be better fits.

The one thing not in question at Nebraska is money, resources and commitment to winning- so they will get a solid coach. I just don't think they have the recruiting advantages they once had to be a consistent top 10 program though.

Hugh Freeze just signed 8 year contract extension at Liberty at $5mil/yr...

Hugh Freeze has agreed to a new eight-year contract at Liberty that's going to put him among the highest paid coaches in the Group of Five.

The contract is eight seasons and averages just under $5 million per year, according to ESPN sources. The contract is fully guaranteed through the 2030 season, per ESPN sources, and the annual salary will make Freeze the highest paid Group of Five coach in 2023 after Cincinnati transitions to the Big 12.

Wow, that is crazy money for a G5 school. I had no idea that they have over 100,000 enrollment. Is it mainly an online school?

There are a ton of online students. But a surprisingly large number of on campus students too. Every crazy fundamental family sends their kids to Liberty.

Co-founded by the religious grifter who later claimed one of the Teletubbies was gay, so....take that for whatever it's worth.

And later his son had some sort of weird 3 way relationship with his wife and a pool boy.

I knew it was a Christian school. But it sounds like it’s equivalent to BYU for Mormons.
