And lost in the wild card. He made bowls games and got fired from his alma mater.

Making the wild card in the NFL is more impressive than whatever low level bowl games he went to. Especially for a franchise like the cardinals with very little historical success.

I agree but your success in the nfl isn’t measured on just making the playoffs.

Just another reminder that college coaches jumping to the NFL almost never work out. Pete Carroll is about the only success story I can even think of.
some of the worst hires all-time are college coaches. At the top of the list I would put Bud Wilkinson.

Depends on the coach and skill set.

Rhule was always a talent developer & program culture guy. Not exactly as important at the NFL level as in College.
