I want nothing to do with ESPN. I know, I know.. "keep your friends close and your enemies closer"? Still don't like it.

So we make our bed with the company that just 12 months ago tried to snuff us out...cool.
**** ESPN, but at the same time, if we get into good graces with them, it would be a good thing for the conference. Plus their focus will shift to ending the PAC 12.

I suppose that is true. I just hate the production value of ESPN+. It's all 3rd rate camera crew, commentators and pxp guys/girls that seem incapable of disguising biases. Plus I just feel like nobody is watching those games aside from fans of the respective schools playing on it. You can't just find a game by channel flipping. I'd much rather a deal be worked out with CBS/Turner Sports, but that seems further away than ever at this point. Fox is fine, but would love to see ESPN cut out of the deal.

Yeah but if you're on ESPN+, you were likely not going to be on a very good channel anyway if you were with a different network.

When the mouse does a full takeover of the SEC, wouldn't that still leave an open slot on CBS? With Big 10 being exclusively FOX, I'd like to see CBS be in the Big 12 conversation. CBS isn't going to accept the opportunity cost and put Mountain West in that time slot. Unless I missed something CBS announced?

Unlike Bowlsby Yormark is a much better salesman/bulldog. Yes ESPN tried to blow up our conference, but now if they promote us in a positive way that’s great for the conference going forward. Adding those four teams was smart and I hope we add more from the PAC. East coast to west coast with competitive football and a killer basketball conference = eyeballs=revenue.

The middle afternoon game with CBS is going to be Big10 in the future.

I agree, I would have preferred that for Football...but how else do you get all the conf Basketball games aired? ESPN+ is best suited for that IMO.

Well, it's not quite like taking back an old girlfriend or something (unless you live somewhere where there's only 8 women to choose from). There are very few options that play in those waters, with the kind of money that we are looking for.

You're a bit behind, that's ok. B1G's new contract is going to include these Networks and Times every week. FOX at 11, CBS at 2:30, and NBC for Evening, they killed it.

I really really really hope we don't have to resort to midweek games. Don't even want to let one game a year into the conversation, that'll lead to more and and non-saturday game days.
Would kill most of the festivities around Iowa State football even if it nets us a few extra million.
Tailgating sustained us through most of our existence, can't give that up.
Look at West Virginia, they got screwed, 3 Thursday night games and their attendance sucks (could be because they had been sucking)
