Yeah, that's going to be a tough matchup to say the least. SEP, Dowling and Ankeny seem to have really separated and are considerably better than the rest of the class from what I've seen. Seems like a running clock early type of game. Hope not, but that seems likely.RIP Ames
I'd like to see a clip of that.Got to a really good 8 man game last week. They are always wild but SE Warren beat East Mills with a double reverse flea flicker. 5 of the 8 Se Warren players in the field touched the ball on the play. Crazy.
One of the all timers was Decorah driving to Winterset last year. 4 hr 10 mins I believewho has the longest drive Friday? Hull to Parkersburg? That’s gotta be well over 4 hours on a bus, one way.
We must haved watched different games. The game I watched Johnston seemed dominant.Yeah, that's going to be a tough matchup to say the least. The score looked bad vs. Johnston, but they really were pretty evenly matched. I think they were -4 in turnovers.
It will be interesting next year when Ames' QB (coach's kid) and top WR are gone. They really lean on throwing the ball a ton. Their backup QB is a really good jack of all trades type of guy but I don't think he's thrown much.
Winterset is closer to Kansas City than they are DecorahOne of the all timers was Decorah driving to Winterset last year. 4 hr 10 mins I believe
I don’t know, it was a strange game. Ames outgained Johnston 402-220, but Johnston was way more sound in special teams, and did a good job giving up short passes and runs but nothing big. They forced Ames to try to string together drives, which they couldn’t do without making a mistake at some point. We must haved watched different games. The game I watched Johnston seemed dominant.
If I remember right Ames got into a couple of 3rd and 20+ a couple of times.I don’t know, it was a strange game. I had to officiate a Linn-Mar game this year and they have a TE/DE who is a pretty big dude. Looked him up and he may be getting some slight interest from Iowa State, but looks like it's more FCS schools right nowLinn-Mar beat Prairie last week and now have to play there again this week.
Names would be better.I don’t know who decided to make this with logos because I’m only confident about knowing what 2 of these 14 schools are
I have a similar issue with the new Varsity Bound website. However, the new one is about 100x better than the old one.Names would be better.
Pretty crappy to make Indianola and Bondurant play 1st round when they were in the same district.
OABGIC. jesus dudes. just change it to Idasac or something
The DMR high school sports reporter picked Valley in an upset. The DMR thinks Pleasant Valley is overrated, and they really haven't played anyone all year. This Valley team is passionless on offense. Most in the district didn't think they were even going to make the playoffs, something like a 30 year streak snapped. WMD Valley's days of sports dominance are coming to a close as districts in the metro continue to grow.
